NCAA Football Games with the Highest Stakes in 2022

2022-2023 NCAA College Football Season

  • When: August 27, 2022 – Dec. 10, 2022

Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Ohio State Buckeyes

  • When: Saturday, Sep. 3

Both the Irish’s and the Buckeyes’ fortunes could be decided early on Sep. 3. Ohio State will be a huge favorite, but the Buckeyes, like they do every off season, lost plenty of talent.

Will Notre Dame pull off the biggest upset of the year in their first game?

Georgia Bulldogs vs Oregon Ducks

  • When: Saturday, Sep. 3

Georgia won the National Championship by leaning on an incredible defense. But five starters from the defense went in the first round of last April’s NFL Draft. So how will Georgia play against one of the better teams in the Pac-12?

This game could go a long way in determining the Dawgs’ chances to repeat as National Champions. The Oregon Ducks could show they will be a force in the Pac-12.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs Wisconsin Badgers

  • When: Saturday, Sep. 24

Wisconsin hopes for a bounce back season. Ohio State wants to leap to the top of the Big Ten. Buckeyes versus Badgers is always a high-stakes game.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs Texas A&M Aggies

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 8

Alabama believes it’s the SEC’s best. Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M has recruited as well as Nick Saban at Bama, though. So which team prevails in the deep SEC West division? Circle Crimson Tide versus Aggies for sure.

Texas Longhorns vs Oklahoma Sooners

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 8

The Red River Rivalry is always high-stakes. It’s especially high-stakes this season because more than a few college football experts believe the Longhorns overtake the Sooners as the Big 12’s best program in 2022.

USC Trojans at Utah Utes

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 15

Lincoln Riley took the head coaching job at USC and immediately transferred Oklahoma’s best players. USC can make the College Football Playoff this season. To do so, the Trojans must beat the Pac-12’s best, which right now is Utah

Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 29

Bill Napier is the new head man at Florida. Napier has the recruiting skills and football knowledge to make the Florida Gators a perennial national title contending team. Beating Georgia would be a massive step in the right direction.

Alabama Crimson Tide at LSU Tigers

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 5

Brian Kelly bolted South Bend for Baton Rouge. If Kelly can get the ultra-talented LSU Tigers to upset the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU should be on their way to the SEC Championship and a possible College Football Playoff spot.

Michigan Wolverines at Ohio State Buckeyes

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26

Michigan versus Ohio State. Enough said, right? No, really. Enough said, right?

USC Trojans vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26

USC could enter their annual throw down versus Notre Dame undefeated and on the verge of a CFP berth. Notre Dame will want to play spoiler. Trojans versus Irish this season should be epic.
