In looking at the early season NFL schedule, we’ve found a couple of teams that you may want to avoid betting on. These teams should be in the playoff hunt throughout the season, however certain conditions have made us skeptical about them early on. Here are two teams that you may want to consider staying away from at start the season. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against the NFL Odds.
NFL Teams to Avoid Betting On Early in the 2022 Season
Are the Cardinals As Good As Advertised?
Yes, we know that they just signed Kyler Murray to a huge extension. Does that mean that he’ll feel safe and not put in as much work as he should? We don’t know, but we do know that the Cardinals personnel suffered some big hits in the offseason. Christian Kirk left via free agency, Chase Edmonds also left. DeAndre Hopkins is suspended for the first few weeks of the season, so that’ll be a huge hit as well.
We know that the Cardinals did acquire Hollywood Brown, but is he really a difference-maker? The starting receivers alongside Brown will be Rondale Moore and aging veteran AJ Green. James Conner is a good back, but he and Edmonds made for a nice 1-2 punch.
Their early season schedule starts off tough, as they’ll host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, then head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders, and then in Week 3 they’ll host the Los Angeles Rams. They could be 0-3 to start the season.
Without Hopkins, we’re just not sure that the offense will be ready for the tough games that they have early in the schedule. We’re also not really confident in head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Avoid betting on the Arizona Cardinals early on this season.
Will Russell Wilson Be The Savior in Denver?
Russell Wilson has been brought to Denver to save the Broncos! Denver has had a good defense over the past few seasons, and the defense should be very good once again this season. It was always the offense that wasn’t getting the job done for Denver, now that they have a star quarterback, people expect that to change.
We’re not saying that we don’t like the Broncos this whole season, but you may want to avoid them early on. Denver plays in one of the strongest divisions in football, the AFC West. This year, they also have to play arguably the other strongest division in the league, the NFC West. While they start off with two very winnable games in Seattle (let’s see how the Seahawk fans treat Wilson), and then they host Houston.
After that, the schedule gets very tough. Week 3 will see the Broncos host one of the Super Bowl favorites, the San Francisco 49ers. In Week 4, they’ll head to Sin City to take on their division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders. That game will be followed by a tough matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. And then to end this tough run, the Broncos will head to Los Angeles to take on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
We see the Broncos winning at least one of those four games in that tough stretch, but we’re not sure if they can win more than one or not. Until they prove that they can stay healthy, and that Wilson truly is the answer to all of their problems, you may want to avoid betting on the Broncos until you can get a better read on their situation.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
