Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (+1.5)

Yes, the Lions are the new darlings of the NFC North. Yes, they have one of the best offenses in the league, and the Bears’ defense still comes with many holes. But this is also an improved Bears team, an improved Justin Fields, and this game is outside at Soldier Field.

The Lions did win both of these matchups a year ago, but in Chicago, it was just a one-point win. And that only happened because of a back-breaking pick-six in the fourth quarter that ultimately sunk the Bears. Going into the final quarter, they were up by two touchdowns.

No meltdowns this year. The Bears are going to be a tough out at home.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5)

The Chiefs have won seven straight AFC West titles and have hosted the AFC Championship Game for five consecutive seasons. Any game with them is important, and especially when they play the Buffalo Bills.

No one will soon forget the overtime playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium two years ago and the show put on by Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

And even though this game itself could go either way, this will be a game filled with great prop bets and lots of scoring. You’re going to want to watch this game on Sunday afternoon, so you might as well wager on it.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-3)

Even as the Broncos were at their worst last season and the Chargers were headed to the playoffs, this matchup was outstanding. L.A. won in overtime at home in October, but Denver got revenge with a Week 18 win at Mile High.

Sean Payton and an improved Russell Wilson make this a much improved Broncos team and don’t be surprised if they pull off another upset over the Chargers.

Five of the last seven meetings between these two have been decided by three points or less, and this one should be another tough battle to the end.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (-1) | Sunday Night Fooball

We’ll be in the middle of flex scheduling for Sunday Night Football, but there is no chance that this game is getting moved. Sunday night, in primetime, at Jerry’s World in Arlington, Texas, it will be the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys.

Not only are they the two best teams in the NFC East, they are two of the best three teams in the NFC, and both have Super Bowl expectations. The Eagles, because they were a blown lead away from winning the Super Bowl last year, and the Cowboys, because it is always the expectation, despite a 30-year absence from the big game.

The rivals split last year, each winning at home and each beating the other team’s backup quarterback. Philadelphia beat Cooper Rush in October, and Dallas beat Gardner Minshew on Christmas Eve.

Let’s all hope that we get to see Jalen Hurts vs. Dak Prescott, a quarterback matchup that was missing the last three times these teams played.
