The defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning are off to a perfect start after two games, but they are not alone. Six teams have all won their first two games of the new campaign. Top NHL Games to Watch this Week (January 18th-24th)

Boston (1-0-1) at NY Islanders (1-1-0) at 5:00 PM ET

The Bruins got past New Jersey 3-2 in a shootout in its opener on Thursday before falling to the Devils 2-1 in overtime in their rematch two days later. Boston is averaging and allowing an identical 2.0 goals per game to rank 23rd in scoring and 10th in goals allowed. The Islanders routed the cross-town rival Rangers 4-0 in their opener on Thursday – before getting shut out 5-0 in their Big Apple rematch on Saturday.

Washington (2-0) at Pittsburgh (1-2) at 7:00 PM ET

Washington beat Buffalo 6-1 in its opener on Thursday and backed that up with a 2-1 win over the Sabres the following night. The Caps then fell to Pittsburgh 4-3 on Sunday and will look to extract some revenge in this instant rematch! Washington ranks eighth in scoring (4.0 gpg) and 14th in goals allowed (2.5 gpg). The Penguins spanked by Philadelphia 6-3 in its opener on Wednesday and 5-2 by the Flyers two days later. Pittsburgh got its first win of the season by beating Washington on Sunday. Pittsburgh ranks 18th in scoring (2.5 gpg) and dead last (32nd) in goals allowed (5.5 gpg).

Edmonton (1-2) at Toronto (2-1) at 7:00 PM ET

Edmonton has allowed an identical five goals in a pair of losses to Vancouver and Montreal on Wednesday and Saturday while putting five goals on the board in their lone win over the Canucks on Thursday. The Oilers are averaging 4.0 goals per game (sixth) but giving up 3.5 per contest (20th). Toronto beat Montreal 5-4 in overtime in its opener on Wednesday before falling to Ottawa 5-3 two nights later. The Maple Leafs got some revenge by beating the Senators 3-2 on Saturday and enter the new week ranked 10th in scoring (3.7 gpg) and 23rd in goals allowed (3.7 gpg).

Tampa Bay (2-0) at Columbus (0-2) at 7:00 PM ET

The defending champion Lightning completely embarrassed Chicago 5-1 in its opener on Wednesday and 5-2 two nights later. Tampa Bay is second in scoring and seventh in goals allowed (1.5 gpg). Columbus is looking for its first win of the season after getting beaten by Nashville 3-1 in its opener on Thursday and 5-2 by the Predators two nights later. The Blue Jackets are 28th in scoring (1.5 gpg) and 29th in goals allowed (4.0 gpg).

San Jose (1-1) at Minnesota (2-0)

  • When: Friday, January 22

San Jose spit its first two games of the season against Arizona by winning its opener 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday and losing 5-3 two nights later. The Sharks are averaging 3.0 goals per game (16th) while allowing an identical 3.0 goals per contest (18th). Minnesota is off to a 2-0 start after recording a pair of identical 4-3 overtime victories over the Kings on Thursday and Sunday. The Wild are fifth in scoring (4.0 gpg) and 18th in goals allowed (3.0 gpg).

Philadelphia (2-0) at Boston (1-0-1) at 7:00 PM ET

  • When: Saturday, January 23

The Flyers have looked phenomenal in consecutive wins over Pittsburgh. Philly won its opener 6-3 on Wednesday and 5-2 two nights later. The Flyers rank first in scoring (5.5 gpg) and 12th in goals allowed (2.5 gpg). Boston split its first two games against New Jersey.

Vegas (2-0) at Arizona (1-0-1) at 4:00 PM ET

  • When: Sunday, January 24

Vegas beat Anaheim 5-2 in its opener on Thursday and 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. Arizona lost a shootout against San Jose 4-3 on Thursday before getting some revenge by beating the Sharks 5-3 two nights later.
