EURO Cup Games For Wednesday: In two more days, we will know which 16 teams will start the knockout phase of the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, we have a total of 8 games that will decide the final spot for the Round of 16.

My Analysis

Once we get to that point, we can start to have a serious conversation about the final, which we will get to later this week in another article. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on the Wednesday games, of which there are 4.

These games will decide the final two groups, so let’s get to it, with betting predictions for each.

Slovakia +224 vs Romania +280

This group is about as wide open as it gets, with all 4 teams sitting on 3 points. There are several permutations here, but to keep it simple, win and you move on.

Slovakia got their tournament off to an amazing start, beating Belgium in one of the biggest surprises to this point, but they followed that up with a disappointing showing against Ukraine.

It was a similar story for Romanio, who got off to a flyer with a hammering of Ukraine, after which they lost to Belgium, which was not totally unexpected. They are the favorite for this game, but given the other game in the group, a draw might suit both.

Belgium -152 vs Ukraine +380

Belgium came into this tournament as one of the favorites to make a deep run, but they got off to a nightmare start with a 1-0 loss to Slovakia.

They bounced back with a win over Romania and have perhaps been a little unlucky, with VAR wiping out 3 goals over their 2 games to this point. Still, the pressure is very much on them in this one.

It would have been easy for Ukraine to roll over after taking an absolute hammering in their opening game against Romania. Ukraine really needs something out of this game to move into the Round of 16, but I don’t think it will happen.

EURO Cup Pick: Belgium 2-0 Ukraine

Czechia +160 vs Turkey +172

This is absolutely a must win game for Czechia, who are sitting on just 1 point through their opening 2 games. A win here would almost certainly give them the 2nd place spot in the group and an automatic spot in the Round of 16.

The Czechs have been a little unfortunate, but still seem up against it here. Turkey was handed a dose of reality after getting out to a positive start to the tournament.

They opened things up with a 3-1 win over Georgia but were quickly brought back to earth with a 3-0 loss to Portugal. I like the Turks to get the win here.

Portugal -265 vs Georgia +630

This is something of a relaxing day for Portugal, as they have already clinched the top spot in the group. They had to come from behind to beat Czechia in their opening game, but they were rampant in a 3-0 win over Turkey.
