Austin’s season has been marked with inconsistency and mixed results. The team from Texas has three wins, three losses, and one tie so far, with the previous five events ending with two or three goals.

The hosts are massive favorites, and overall, they play much better than Austin, who still oscillates and searches for the right formula when it comes to providing good results. That’s why LAFC’s victory is expected.

New York City FC vs. Atlanta United

The 2021 champs have started the campaign slowly, and so far, we can’t say they look like a team that could compete for the top of the East. Meanwhile, Atlanta is in a completely different mode, and the Five Stripes have left a very good impression.

In six games played, the club from Georgia won four, with one tie and one defeat, scoring 13 and conceding nine goals. Gonzalo Pineda’s crew plays rational and tough football and is still creating chemistry, meaning United has enough room for improvement. City’s games are dull – in six, just one saw three or more goals.

Even though many think this will be a close one, Atlanta’s recent form and performances are far more convincing than New York’s. The team is coming to the Big Apple to collect all three points, and don’t be surprised if they fulfill their mission. This team could create a lot of noise this season.

Sporting Kansas City vs. Colorado Rapids

These two units are hammered to the bottom of the Western Conference without a single victory following six rounds. SKC and the Rapids posted three ties, each with three defeats, scoring two goals, respectively, which is terrible productivity.

Both parties struggle in all the lines on the field, which is why they have defensive-minded game plans. Simply the lack of quality needs to be replaced with strong defenses, and that’s why we usually see their events finishing with under 2.5 goals or only one side netting.

There is no reason to believe this one might see a different outcome. Neither side wants to risk anything and will be very cautious here. So low efficiency is expected and realistic.
