English Premier League Rumors: Chelsea Rumors Flying

2021-2022 English Premier League

Chelsea ready to push for more success, may target Haaland and Lukaku

Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku is rumored to be headed back to Stamford Bridge while the newly crowned UCL champs are also considering making a play for Erling Haaland. First, let’s dive into Lukaku’s situation.

Truth be told, Inter’s request for a 100 million lira transfer figure has nothing to do with Lukaku. The Serie A winners had to part ways with on-field manager  Antonio Conte due to financial concerns.

Transferring Lukaku is another way to shore up the finances. Some clubs escaped the pandemic without feeling its true brunt. Inter Milano isn’t one of them.

The Blues also want to sign Haaland. Although Dortmund has signed the Haaland until 2024, the superstar striker has a 66 million euro release clause. 66 million for a player like Haaland is small bones compared to what it would take to transfer someone like Messi.

Chelsea is on the verge of handing Thomas Tuchel a major extension. If they can arm the brilliant manager with Lukaku and Haaland and keep burgeoning star Christian Pulisic, forget it. The Blues would become the favorite to win the Premier over Pool, the Red Devils, and the Sky Blues.

Man City chairman Al Mubarak says the Sky Blues will replace Barca bound Aguero with the “right player”

Manchester City Al Mubarak isn’t freaking out that Barcelona attracted Sergio Aguero. Mubarak told Sky Blues Nation the franchise will replace Aguero with the “right player.”

City has gobs of cash. A play for Lukaku, Haaland, Mbappe, even Messi is probably on the table. Pep Guardiola is going to have a huge say, which is why Mubarak isn’t worried.

Harry Kane wants out of Tottenham. Kane called Kevin De Bruyne a striker’s dream. If the Sky Blues don’t make a play for Haaland, Kane could be at the top of the list.

Barcelona will sign Eric Garcia, making it two from City heading to Camp Nou

Barcelona isn’t resting on their laurels. The key for Barca this summer is to convince Messi to re-up his contract. Doing so requires Barcelona to make the greatest player in soccer history comfortable.

Attracting fellow Argentinian Aguero should help placate Lionel. Another is signing Eric Garcia away from Man City once the transfer window opens. Messi knows both well.

Like Aguero bouncing, Al Mubarak didn’t freak out at the Garcia news. Man City may have more money than any other club team on the planet. Losing Garcia won’t hurt them at all.

Man United making a play for Jadon Sancho

During last season’s transfer window, the Red Devils went hard after the Dortmund forward. Borussia kept Sancho in the fold. That probably won’t happen this transfer window.

United has made Jadon Sancho their top priority. Rumor has it, Man U is so interested in Sancho that they’ve told many in the organization, they’re waiting on Haaland and will sign Sancho. It’s difficult to see the Red Devils not getting their preferred player once the window opens next week.

Man City looking to offer Ramos a 2-year deal

35-year-old Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos could take his cleats to either Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City.

There’s a chance Real resigns Ramos. But Ramos is looking for a 2-year deal and Real doesn’t hand out more than 1-year deals to players 30 or over.

The one thing standing in the way is the rise of 24-year-old Ruben Dias. The Sky Blues defender has become a star. If the Sky Blues do offer Ramos a 2-year deal, it will be with the understanding that Dias has room to run.

Older players working with younger players happens all the time. Also, Guardiola is used to massaging ego issues. City fans should feel confident that Pep will ensure everyone is on the same page.
