NASCAR Xfinity Odds this Weekend: Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 Betting Analysis and Picks

NASCAR Xfinity Series: Andy’s Frozen Custard 300. With so many great drivers and so many things that can go wrong from race to race, it is extremely difficult to be dominant in NASCAR

You need only look at the list of previous champions to see that winning a series in back-to-back seasons is tough, if not close to impossible. We are a couple of months into the new season across all 3 series and that theory is holding up, as the wins have been pretty evenly spread out among several different drivers. While dominance is hard, consistency can be achieved, which is something that we are seeing at the top of the Xfinity Series driver standings, but more on that in a moment. This weekend, the Xfinity Series is in Texas for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, so let’s look at some of the Xfinity Series betting favorites.

  • Chandler Smith +300
  • Justin Allgaier +450
  • Cole Coster +500
  • Ryan Truex +800

Chandler Smith

We spoke a moment ago about how consistency can be the key to a great season, and you have to say that Chandler Smith is certainly delivering the goods on that front. Through the first 7 races of the season, he has yet to finish outside the top 10 and already has a couple of wins to his name. In fact, in 6 of the 7 races this season he has been in the top 5, with his worst finish coming on the road track at COA, where he finished 8th. I think there is a very good chance that we see him keep his top 5 streak alive given that he finished 4th in Texas last season.

Justin Allgaier

Given that Allgaier has been one of the most consistent drivers in the Xfinity Series for a long, long time, you have to say that his start to the season has been a little underwhelming. Through the first 7 races of the season, he has only managed to crack the top 10 3 times, although his best finish of the season came last week in Martinsville, where he ran 5th. Is that a sign that he is about to break out and go on a better run, or is it simply a bright spot in a disappointing start? He did finish in the top 5 in Texas last season, so maybe more of the same this weekend.

Cole Custer

The defending Xfinity Series champion is still looking for his first win of the season, but given how things went in 2023, there is no reason to panic. It took 13 races for Custer to notch his first win of the year in his championship season, plus his results thus far in 2024 are eerily similar to what we saw last year. He is now on a run of 5 straight races finishing in the top 10, so it’s not as though he is out there stinking things up. He was a top 10 finisher in Texas last season, but a top 5 this time around might not be a bad bet.

Ryan Truex

While his last name is a familiar one in NASCAR circles, Ryan Truex, the younger brother of Martin Truex Jr, is yet to really find his place in the sport, He has bounced around with different teams in different series and has, at times, raced rather sparingly. He has had 2 races at this level in 2024, finishing in the top 10 in Atlanta, which is perhaps the best we can expect from his this weekend.

2023 Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 Odds

The playoffs are underway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with the first race in the Round of 12 going off last weekend. It was a very familiar name that won that race and punched a ticket into the next round, which is something we will get into more in a moment. There are now 2 races remaining in this round, with the margin for error getting tighter for those drivers who are currently sitting below the cut line. That can all change this weekend with the running of the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway. This race is set to begin at 3:30 PM EST on Saturday afternoon, so let’s get into the current Xfinity odds as we try to break down who might win.

John H Nemechek

Nemechek ended the season in the best possible way, winning the final race before the start of the playoffs, securing the top spot in the driver standings in the process. While he didn’t win in the opening race in the Round of 12, he did land on the podium, finishing 3rd in Bristol last weekend. He is a man in form at the minute, which is just one of the reasons why he is in as the favorite for this race. He won this race in the 2021 season, and while he did not have a great run last year on the Texas track, his current form suggests we should expect more on Saturday.

Justin Allgaier

Will this be the year where Allgaier finally gets over the hump and wins the Xfinity Series Championship? Past history tells us that he will certainly be in the mix, and he cemented that thought by winning the opening race of the playoffs last weekend. Allgaier has now won 2 of the last 4 races, for a total of 3 wins this season, which definitely seems like a warning shot has been fired across the hoods of the other drivers. The pressure is off Allgaier this weekend, which could well mean another big performance.

Austin Hill

Every driver that makes the playoffs hopes to get hot at the right time, so with that in mind, Hill will be looking for a bounce back this weekend. He had a rough go of it in the first playoff race last weekend, finishing 33rd in Bristol. Hill had a similar showing in the postseason in 2022, going off the rails a little after a strong season and going out in the Round of 8. On a positive note, his best showing in the playoffs last year was in this race, where he finished 2nd, so expect home to turn it around this weekend.

Cole Custer

Custer has been quietly going about his business this season, and while the wins have not been coming of late, he is on a run where he has finished in the top 10 in 5 of the last 6 races, which includes a 4th place finish in the opening race of the playoffs last weekend. Custer had a win in Texas back in the 2018 season, and while I’m not so sure he will take the checkered flag on Saturday, I do think he might be a solid top 5 bet.
