NCAAF 2020 Season Week 10 O/U Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on November 3, 2020

It has been a little tough to keep up with the national rankings this season, mostly because of the staggered start that we have seen from each of the different conferences, not to mention games lost to COVID. The latter is an issue in the Big Ten, and with little time to get those games in, you have to believe that the playoff committee is going to need to make some tough decisions when the time comes for them to pick their top four. Right now, the teams that are hovering around those coveted top spots need to keep winning and making it tough for the committee to leave them out. There are a lot of big games on the Week 10 college football schedule, but for the purposes of this piece, we are going to look at some point total picks that should bet on against their NCAAF odds.

O/U Picks Week 10 | 2020 NCAA Football Betting

West Virginia Mountaineers at Texas Longhorns (UNDER 55)

What we have here is a Big 12 matchup between a pair of teams sitting at 4-2 on the season, with both teams in a decent run of form. The Mountaineers are in a bit of a transition period, but they are starting to come good, winning 3 of their last 4 games. The Texas Longhorns, meanwhile, have been more than a little unpredictable to start the season, but they appear to have steadied the ship and are coming into this game on a modest 2-game win streak. As far as the point total goes, the Mountaineers have seen 7 of their last 10 conference games fall UNDER, while seeing the UNDER hit in 7 straight games as an underdog. In 22 of their last 26 home games against a team with a winning record, the UNDER has hit for Texas.

USF Bulls at Memphis Tigers (UNDER 64 ½)

After opening their season with a win, the USF Bulls have seen the wheels come off in a big way. They are coming into this game at 1-5 after losing 5 in a row and giving up some big points along the way. The Memphis Tigers, on the other hand, have a winning record at 3-2, although they are coming off an absolute hammering at the hands of the Cincinnati Bearcats last weekend. Both teams have been involved in high-scoring games this season, but there are certainly plenty of trends that point to this one falling UNDER the point total. Each of the Bulls last 5 November games have gone UNDER, as have 6 of their last 7 played in Week 10. Let’s not forget that 7 of the last 9 meetings between these teams have gone UNDER.

North Carolina Tar Heels at Duke Blue Devils (OVER 64)

All season long, the Tar Heels have found themselves pulled into shootouts, which usually means that a team is operating a defense that is not getting the job done. UNC are very good on the offensive side of the football, but the offense is all too often being asked to bail out the D. The end result is that North Carolina are now 4-2 on the season after losing 2 of their last 3. You would like them to get a win against a struggling Duke Blue Devils team this weekend, and you would certainly like them to put a lot of points on the board. The OVER has now hit in back to back games for UNC, as well as in 3 of their last 4. The OVER has also hit in 9 of the last 12 Blue Devils games at home.
