NCAA Football Early Predictions With Georgia Bulldogs as Favorite to Win

The Georgia Bulldogs are once again favorites to win the College Football Playoffs. The Bulldogs were dominant a season ago and smacked TCU in the final game to win the title.

That was their second of back-to-back titles. Since Kirby Smart took over to start the 2016 season, the Bulldogs have not won less than eight games in a season. Even in his first season in Athens, they went 8-5 and won the Liberty Bowl.

Smart, in his eight seasons as the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, is 81-15, with a 48-9 record in SEC play. The Bulldogs are 8-1 in "postseason/bowl" games since he took over, with the lone loss coming in 2018 in the Sugar Bowl.

Gone is Stetson Bennett, as the signal caller of the Bulldogs. He was familiar with the offense and was one of the most talented players in College Football. In comes Carson Beck as the team’s leader under center.

The Bulldogs return Brock Bowers and several other skill players on the offensive side and picked up a pair of transfers from within the SEC that should give Beck an opportunity to move the ball down the field.

Let’s try and break it all down to see whether or not that will happen to Georgia in the next college basketball betting season.

Early Predictions With Georgia Bulldogs as Favorite to Win | MyBookie College Betting Preview

Georgia Bulldogs | Southeastern Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season
School: University of Georgia

Georgia Odds to Win Championship: +220
Southeastern Conference Odds to Win: -114

Prediction #1: Week 1 vs. Tennessee-Martin

NCAAF Odds: Georgia -; Tennessee-Martin –
Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at 6:00 pm
Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
ESPN+

The week one affair is not going to be a fair fight. The early games with some of these elite football games just are a way to get games and the Skyhawks to get paid. In fact, as of publication, oddsmakers did not have a betting line for this game.

Rest assured, Georgia will likely be in the neighborhood of a six-touchdown favorite in this game. With new blood, it may be an interesting game to see if they can cover, but the Bulldogs are going to win this game with ease.

Prediction #2: Bulldogs Run the Table in September

Georgia gets four home games to start their season. Two cupcakes, and then a conference game against South Carolina.

The Gamecocks are going to be improved, but this won’t be too big of a fight for the Bulldogs. Then, UAB comes to town for cupcake #3.

The toughest task will be at Jordan-Hare to finish the month. Look for Georgia to be challenged here, but the Bulldogs beat Auburn on the road.

Prediction #3: Georgia Goes Back over the Win Total

The Georgia Bulldogs’ win total for the 2023 season is 11.5. Even if the Bulldogs lose a game in the regular season and finish at 11-1 on the season, they will most likely still get into the national title playoff.

So hypothetically, Georgia loses at Tennessee, and now all they got to do is win either their bowl game or the college football playoff game. We will take our chances with taking the OVER 11.5 wins.

Prediction #4: Carson Beck, at +1650 Odds does NOT win the Heisman

We are not going out on a limb here, but Carson Beck, as the quarterback, is the favorite on the team to win the Heisman, but he is not going to be the favorite in the country.

Too many other teams use their quarterback much more offensively than Kirby Smart will with Beck. There is no value to a NO Heisman winner bet, but taking him, even at +1650 odds, doesn’t seem a wise choice.

Prediction #5: Georgia Wins Third National Title in a Row and Cashes in at +220

Who is going to take down Georgia? Alabama will have a chance, but we have seen the Bulldogs have the Crimson Tide’s number. The talent is really strong at Georgia.

While +220 is pretty low odds for a futures bet, this is the best you’ll likely get for a while. If you want to sit on those odds for a while, they are definitely the team to beat.

Best of luck this season, and enjoy the College Football action. We hope you enjoyed taking a look at some of our favorite 2023 Georgia Bulldogs bets as they start the season as the favorite once again!
