A Look at the Western Conference

The Western Conference, of course is the road team in this game. They will be coached by Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs. Steve Kerr coached the team last year, and you are not allowed to coach it two straight seasons. Popovich coached this game in 2013 as well. The roster for the Western Conference is constructed like this: Off the bench, Chris Paul is the line Los Angeles Clippers member. He would have likely been joined by Blake Griffin, if not for his injuries. James Harden joins Paul on the Western Conference bench, and is the only Clippers member. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are both members of the Golden State Warriors, who will start on the bench. Thompson is part of the backcourt, while Green is in the paint. The final members of the bench via the front court for the Western Conference include DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis. The starting five for the Western Conference is last year’s Most Valuable Player Steph Curry at point guard. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, both of Oklahoma City are starters as well. In his final season, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers got the nod, and finally Kawhi Leonard of San Antonio made the list. Interesting enough, no big men are starting for the Western Conference.

Eastern Conference Roster Look

The home team – the Eastern Conference will start hometown favorite Kyle Lowry at the point guard position. He will be joined in the starting lineup by veterans Dwyane Wade of Miami, LeBron James of Cleveland and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks. The final Eastern Conference starter is Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. Just like the West, the East does not have a starting big man. The bench of the East has three guards and four forwards. The guards include DeMar DeRozan of the Raptors, John Wall of Washington and Isaiah Thomas, who is the point guard for the Boston Celtics. DeRozan and Lowry should get plenty of time together as the backcourt duo for the home fans in this game. The big men for the East start with Pau Gasol of the Chicago Bulls. He took the place of Jimmy Butler, who is out with a knee injury. The rest of the list starts with forward Chris Bosh of Miami, Andre Drummond of the Pistons, and Paul Millsap of the Atlanta Hawks.

Free Pick & Prediction for the 2016 NBA All Star Game

Our NBA All Star Game Free Pick is going to be the Eastern Conference. While some of the better talent is in the Western Conference, look for the crowd to be a little more based on the Eastern Conference due to being in Toronto. While we know there are going to be a ton of points in this game, expect the result to be no more than 10 points different between the East and the West. The final NBA All Star Game Free Pick for Sunday February 14th, 2016 is the Eastern Conference over the Western Conference.
