NBA Week 17 Against the Spread Betting Picks: Must Bet Games

NBA Week 17 Against the Spread Betting Picks: Must Bet Games

As we head into Week 17 of the NBA season, the battle for playoff seeding is tight in both conferences. With the All-Star Game on the horizon, ever team will be looking to finish strong before heading into the break. That all begins on Monday night, with a nice slate of games on the schedule. Let’s quickly break them all down and see if we can pick some NBA Betting winners against the spread.

ATS Betting Picks in Week 17 of the 2022-2023 NBA Season

Cleveland Cavaliers (-2 ½) at Washington Wizards

When: Monday
Where: Capital One Arena

Time: 6:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

This is a bit of a tricky one when you consider that the Cavaliers are 5 games below .500 on the road this season. The closed out the week with back-to-back wins and should keep that run going against a Wizards team that has lost 2 in a row. Cleveland has covered in 4 of their last 6, so let’s take them again.

Boston Celtics (-11) at Detroit Pistons

When: Monday
Where: Little Caesars Arena

Time: 6:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

The Celtics are seeing their lead atop the Eastern Conference start to shrink, but they should be able to get back on track against the hapless Detroit Pistons. The spread here is on the larger side, but Boston has already beaten this team handily twice this season.

LA Clippers at Brooklyn Nets (+7 ½)

When: Monday
Where: Barclays Center

Time: 6:30 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

Life without Kyrie Irving will begin for the Nets on Monday night in what is certainly a tough matchup against the Clippers. The Nets are in as an underdog for this one, but I think they might spring the total upset. I definitely like them ATS, but might also be tempted to take them SU.

San Antonio Spurs at Chicago Bulls (-10 ½)

When: Monday
Where: United Center

Time: 7:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

I’m not going to lie that I am very much on the fence with this one and might skip it altogether. I like the Bulls to win this one quite handily, and while the spread does look manageable, I am still not totally sold.

Sacramento Kings (-5 ½) at Houston Rockets

When: Monday
Where: Toyota Center

Time: 7:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

The Kings are looking to snap out of a 2-game losing skid, and while going on the road is always tough, this is a game that they should be able to win. They are also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games versus teams from the Rockets division, so let’s roll with them here.

Dallas Mavericks (+9 ½) at Utah Jazz

When: Monday
Where: Vivint Smart Home Arena

Time: 8:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

It has not been a great run of form of late for the Mavericks, who have just 4 wins in their last 10. They might, though, get a boost from the arrival of Kyrie Irving, and with the spread set to high here, I think they will do more than enough to cover.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors (-4)

When: Monday
Where: Chase Center

Time: 9:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

The Warriors have a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on, as they are a much better team at home than they are on the road. They are 15-10-1 ATS at home, but they have covered just once in their last 7. I think they snap that streak here.

Milwaukee Bucks at Portland Trail Blazers (+4 ½)

When: Monday
Where: Moda Center

Time: 9:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

This is another somewhat iffy on, especially when you consider how well the Bucks have been playing of late, winning 7 in a row. The Trail Blazers have not been a great ATS bet, although they have covered in 6 of their last 9 February games, Taking a bit of a shot here.
