2020 NFL Power Rankings Expert Analysis After Week 10

Written by on November 19, 2020

Week 11 of the NFL season gets underway on Thursday night when the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks go head to head in a critical NFC West clash. The outcome of that one will have a definite impact on the power rankings, with both of those teams heading in different directions right now. The NFL just updated their rankings after the events of Week 10 and there are some interesting changes to look at. As always, let’s take a look at the top and bottom 5 so you can keep doing your bets and cash in against our NFL odds.

Power Rankings Following Week 10 of the 2020 NFL Regular Season

Top 5

  1. Kansas City Chiefs – The defending Super Bowl champions got to rest up with a bye week in Week 10. They will be on the road to face the Las Vegas Raiders, the only team that have beaten them this season. Will they get revenge and stay #1?
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers – Week 10 proved to be a much easier time of things for the Steelers, who finally got to play at home after 3 straight games on the road. They look like a good bet to go 10-0 this week with the Jacksonville Jaguars up next.
  3. New Orleans Saints – The Saints have now won 6 in a row to get to 7-2, but they are almost certainly going to be without the services of Drew Brees this week, as he will be out with broken ribs. Expect to see a healthy dose of Alvin Kamara running the football.
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The NFC South is coming down to a 2-horse race, and while the Bucs are 7-3, they have a pair of losses to the Saints. The Bucs will be at home on Monday night, with the LA Chargers coming to town.
  5. Green Bay Packers – The Packers squeezed by the Jaguars last weekend to move to 7-2 on the season, but the win may have come at a price, as Davante Adams suffered an ankle injury. He does say that he expects to play this week.

Bottom 5

  1. Houston Texans – When a team has an elite QB on board, the expectation is that they will challenge for a playoff spot every year. DeShaun Watson has been good this year, but he needs a lot of help that might not necessarily be coming any time soon.
  2. Washington Football Team – The Alex Smith story is certainly a feel-good situation, but the fact that he is now the starter for Washington is an issue. Dwayne Haskins looks like a bust, which means that Washington has a serious QB issue.
  3. Dallas Cowboys – While the Cowboys have struggled mightily this season, a good second half could well take them to the top of the brutal NFC East Division. The sooner they get Andy Dalton healthy and back in the fold the better.
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars – The losing streak for the Jaguars now sit at 8, and with the Pittsburgh Steelers up next, there does not look to be an easy way out of this slump. This is a team that has some fight, although they are still lacking in the talent department.
  5. New York Jets – The expectation was that Sam Darnold would be back from injury this week, but reports suggest that he will miss the Week 11 game versus the Chargers. Can the Jets finally get their first win of the season?
