Why bet on the Kansas City Chiefs

Coming into this season, there were some concerns that the Chiefs offense might take a backward step after Tyreek Hill left to go to Miami. Through the opening 2 games of the season, those concerns seem to be unfounded, as the Chiefs have delivered 71 points and a pair of wins. They looked very good in an opening week rout of the Cardinals and managed to do just enough to get past a very good Chargers team in Week 2. All told, this team is now 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall, but they are also 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games against the Indianapolis Colts, so be careful there. One wager that makes us a little more confident is the point total, with the Chiefs seeing the OVER hit in their last 5 games played on the road. They have also seen the OVER hit in 5 of their last 6 games versus the AFC South.

Why bet on the Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have felt that they have had a championship winning squad for a few seasons now, but the one element missing was a QB to get them to the promised land. Instead of relying on the draft, the Colts went out and nabbed another veteran, getting Matt Ryan out of Atlanta. To this point, it is a move that is not yet paying off as hoped, with the offense sputtering on their way to an 0-1-1 record to start the season. The Colts are now just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 and have not been a great spread bet at home, going 5-10 ATS in their last 15 outings at Lucas Oil Stadium. Given their offensive struggles, it is not surprising that both games this season have gone UNDER, as have their last 7 games overall.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

Taking the Chiefs to win here seems like the obvious bet, but I think they can also cover the spread here quite handily. If you are into taking a bit of a risk, I would take a chance on the OVER, as I think the Chiefs are going to put some points on the board.
