NFL 2020 Week 7 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

NFL Week 7 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on October 20, 2020

Every team in the NFL has now played at least 5 games this season, which is usually plenty of time for bettors to get an idea of what to expect from each of them. It also helps us to see some trends begin to develop. That said, as much as trends tell us about how things might go in any given week, football is a sport that always delivers surprises. That is why it is so difficult to consistently make winning picks, but as long as they keep playing, we will keep delivering our picks for each week. As we do every week in the NFL, we will have a variety of different selections coming your way. We are focusing on a trio of picks against the spread in this piece, but we will also have ATS and O/U picks coming your way, as well as some parlays, so watch out for those. Let’s take a closer to our selections so you can wager on their NFL odds.

Week 7 ATS Picks for the 2020 Season | NFL Betting

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (-3 ½)

Let’s get the ball rolling with the Thursday night game for Week 7. This is one that features a pair of teams in the midst of a nightmare start to the season, although there is still a path to the playoffs for one of them. The Giants are coming off their first win of the season, but since that was a 20-19 win over the equally poor Washington Football Team, no-one is getting too carried away. The Giants are still very poor and should be on to another beating this weekend. The Eagles are at 1-4-1 on the season, but a win here might just put them on top of the NFC East. The division is a nightmare, but someone has to win it and make the playoffs. Neither one of these two have been great ATS, but I am giving it to the Eagles at home.

Green Bay Packers (-3 ½) at Houston Texans

As we have seen over the years, it is nearly impossible for any team to go unbeaten in the regular season in the NFL. While there are some defeats that you do see coming, it is the nature of those losses that is often the most surprising. The previously unbeaten Packers losing to Tampa Bay was not a huge shock, but the 39-10 score absolutely was. They will be looking to bounce back against a struggling Houston Texans team that must still be reeling after their Week 6 loss. Up 7 with 4 seconds remaining, they ended up going to OT and losing. It’s a demoralizing loss that the Packers will take advantage of with a comfortable win.

Buffalo Bills (-12 ½) at New York Jets

This appears to be one of those games that has the potential to be a bit of a banana peel for bettors. On the face of it, we are looking at what appears to be a total mismatch, with the Jets looking very much like a team that could go 0-16 on the season. As good as the Bills looked in getting to 4-0, they have now struggled and lost in back to back weeks, albeit against good opponents. While QB Josh Allen has struggled against the better teams in the AFC, he has feasted on the poorer teams. I think that he and the Bills have a big bounce back game this weekend, which is why I am somewhat reluctantly taking them to cover.
