We saw a lot of movement in this week’s AP College Football poll after the Week 6 results. It’s rather unusual that teams in the Top 10 get jumped in the rankings after a win, but we saw it happen twice this week. Let’s take a look at this week’s Top 10 so you can continue making your bets against their College Football Betting Odds.
This Week’s College Football AP Poll 25 Analysis for Week 7
1. Georgia Bulldogs
After a 42-10 win over Auburn, the Georgia Bulldogs moved up to the #1 spot in the polls. Georgia had been #2 last week. The Bulldogs are once again on a collision course with Alabama for an SEC title.
2. Ohio State Buckeyes
CJ Stroud just keeps putting up huge numbers. In last week’s 49-20 win over Michigan State, Stroud threw for 360 yards and 6 touchdowns. It’s starting to look like the Michigan game at the end of the season will be for a berth in the Big 10 title game.
3. Alabama Crimson Tide
Even though they won, the Tide dropped two spots in this week’s poll. By escaping with a 24-20 win over Texas A&M, Alabama is still undefeated. Remember, they didn’t have Bryce Young for this one.
4. Clemson Tigers
Clemson jumped from #5 to #4 this week after easily defeating Boston College. The Clemson defense is playing well, and DJ Uiagalelei is starting to get things together. Clemson looks like a shoo-in for a spot in the ACC title tilt.
5. Michigan Wolverines
Even though they beat Indiana, the Michigan Wolverines dropped a spot. They looked disinterested during the game. They could’ve been looking ahead to the Penn State game this weekend.
6. Tennessee Volunteers
We can’t wait for the Vols to clash with the Crimson Tide this weekend. Last weekend, Tennessee went to Death Valley and destroyed LSU. It would be huge for Josh Heupel’s squad if they could upset Alabama.
7. USC Trojans
The USC Trojans just keep on rolling. Caleb Williams is leading the high-powered offense of Lincoln Riley. The Trojans are on a collision course with the UCLA Bruins.
8. Oklahoma State Cowboys
With their victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Oklahoma State Cowboys remained undefeated. They’re well on their way to another Big 12 title game.
9. Ole Miss Rebels
Quietly, the Ole Miss Rebels are having another great season. They still have a tough road ahead, but Lane Kiffin’s squad could pull off some big upsets along the way.
10. Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State is headed to the Big House this weekend to take on the Wolverines. A loss by either team would be crippling at this point of the season. Penn State’s schedule has been fairly soft thus far, so we’re not sure how good they truly are.
Betting Tip of the Week
We just talked about the Penn State at Michigan matchup. Penn State has yet to play a strong team. This game is at Michigan, and that will give them a big advantage. The Wolverines have one of the best defenses in the country, and they specialize in stopping the run. Penn State has been a ground-attack team this season. Michigan’s offense will also give Penn State some issues.
We like the Wolverines to win this one by 10, covering the seven-point spread along the way.
