Since 2008, D.S. Williamson has written about sports and sports handicapping.

His philosophy is value-based, meaning stats and other handicapping factors are only worth something in comparison to sportsbook odds. He believes money management and making value-based wagers is the single more important factor that distinguishes successful sports bettors from non-successful sports bettors.

UCLA at Indiana -24.5

Is this a trap game for the Indiana Hoosiers?

It sure looks like it.

Indiana is flying high after winning its sixth straight game but the Hoosiers haven’t faced anybody other than Oregon and truth be told, it seemed like the Ducks weren’t in that game mentally.

That doesn’t mean Indiana doesn’t beat UCLA at home.

However, the Bruins have scored three straight wins including a nice 20-17 defensive battle versus Maryland this past Saturday.

UCLA keeps this much closer than 25 points.

Wisconsin at Oregon -32.5

Wisconsin is one of the worst teams in the country.

Luke Fickell came to Madison with high hopes.

The man had taken Cincinnati to the CFP and lost a close game to Alabama as a major underdog.

At Wisconsin, the wheels are off. The Badgers can’t do anything right.

Iowa beat Wisconsin 37-0.

Ohio State dusted the Badgers 34-0.

Now, it’s Oregon’s chance to pad their stats.

-32.5 is a lot but the Badgers will fold in the first quarter.

Oregon covers.

Texas A&M -2.5 at LSU

If Brian Kelly is to salvage the season, the LSU Tigers must beat Texas A&M this Saturday.

Bama is the next game and it’s in Tuscaloosa.

The Tigers can’t expect to take down Ty Simpson and Alabama on the road.

So beating the Aggies is a must.

Kelly’s offense is a mess but A&M doesn’t play much defense as evidenced by them allowing Arkansas of all teams to score 42 in a 45-42 win.

LSU’s D carries the day.

Back the moneyline on the Baton Rouge Tigers.

BYU at Iowa State -1.5

After two straight losses, the Iowa State Cyclones are due for some luck.

Iowa State fell to an underrated Cincinnati squad 38-30 and Colorado 24-17 in back-to-back road games.

On Saturday, Iowa State plays at home where they should rock.

BYU is undefeated but Arizona probably should have upset the Cougars.

The 24-21 win over Utah was nice. But those two wins were close, tiring, tough matchups.

Iowa State pulls away to win and cover in the fourth.

D.S. Williamson Week 9 Picks

UCLA at Indiana -24.5 – Bet: UCLA +24.5
Wisconsin at Oregon -32.5 – Bet: Oregon -32.5
Texas A&M -2.5 at LSU – Bet: LSU Moneyline
BYU at Iowa State -1.5 – Bet: Iowa State -1.5

NCAAF Week 9 SU Picks

Illinois is coming off back-to-back blowout losses and now has another tough road game versus Washington, who are solid at home.

I’m taking the Huskies.

Given that I am closing out with a longshot pick, let’s go with some low hanging fruit by taking Alabama to win against South Carolina.

Minnesota is coming off an upset win over Nebraska and might be ready to deliver the goods again this weekend versus Iowa.

Henry Watkins Week 9 SU Picks

Illinois at Washington – SU Pick: Washington Huskies
Alabama vs South Carolina – SU Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide
Minnesota vs Iowa – SU Pick: Minnesota Golden Gophers

NCAAF Week 9 ATS Picks

Texas A&M is averaging over 40 PPG this season on their unbeaten run and might be ready to hammer a wobbly LSU defense.

Give me the Aggies -2 ½.

I am not a fan of larger spreads but given what Oregon has done in their last 2 games, I am willing to take them -34 over Wisconsin.

I always like to try and track down a road dog in my ATS picks, and this weekend, I am looking at BYU +2 ½ on the road against Iowa State.

Henry Watkins Week 9 ATS Picks

Texas A&M -2.5 at LSU – ATS Pick: Texas A&M -2.5
Oregon -32.5 vs Wisconsin – ATS Pick: Oregon -32.5
BYU +2.5 at Iowa State – ATS Pick: BYU +2.5

NCAAF Week 9 O/U Picks

We already discussed the Alabama/South Carolina game, and if you don’t like Bama’s odds to win, then I suggest you look at the UNDER 47 ½.

We already know how good the Ole Miss offense looks, even in a loss to Georgia this past weekend, so look for the OVER 52 ½ this weekend against Oklahoma.

Both Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech are giving up roughly 28 PPG this season, so it makes sense that we should getting offense here, hence the OVER 50 ½.

Henry Watkins Week 9 O/U Picks

Alabama vs South Carolina O/U 47.5 – O/U Pick: Under 47.5
Ole Miss vs Oklahoma O/U 52.5 – O/U Pick: Over 52.5
Western Kentucky vs Louisiana Tech O/U 50.5 – O/U Pick: Over 50.5
