NBA Week 17 Top Betting Picks & Predictions for this Week’s Best Matches

We are now just 2 weeks away from the All-Star Break, which can prove to be a blessing or a curse. For the teams that go into the break on a hot streak, a few days off can prove to be a momentum killer. On the flipside, that break gives the teams on the slide an opportunity to regroup and get right. There are still a lot of games to come between now and then and we might well see a change at the top of the Eastern Conference, which is tightening up rather dramatically. There are a lot of big games to come that will have an impact on the overall standings and the playoff race, so let’s look ahead to the NBA Betting games coming this week and pick out a few that we like.

LA Clippers at Brooklyn Nets

When: Monday
Where: Barclays Center

Time: 6:30 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

One of the big questions that has been floating around over the past few weeks has been the status of Kyrie Irving. For a moment, it looked like he would stay in Brooklyn, but a trade over the weekend saw him sent off to the Dallas Mavericks. Life will continue as normal for the Nets, who open the new week with a home tilt against the LA Clippers. While the Nets have been playing .500 ball over the last 10 games, the Clippers have been pretty hot, winning 7 of their last 10. LA, though, is just a game above .500 on the road, so definitely a tough test here.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

When: Tuesday
Where: Ball Arena

Time: 8:00 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

We have a very good Western Conference matchup set to go on Tuesday night, with the Minnesota Timberwolves going on the road to face the Western Conference leaders. The Nuggets have a somewhat comfortable 4 ½ game lead at the top of the conference, but they did end the week with a loss and will be looking to bounce back. The T-Wolves are looking to get into the #6 seed and are on a decent rum of form, winning 7 of their last 10, but they have been more than a little iffy on the road.

Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics

When: Wednesday
Where: TD Garden

Time: 6:30 PM EST
TV: ESPN

Given the current standings in the Eastern Conference, this may well be the biggest game on the NBA schedule this week. The Boston Celtics have the lead in the conference, but they have seen that lead whittled down to just one game, with the Milwaukee Bucks on a got run of form. The 76ers are currently down in the #3 spot and are just 2 ½ games back of Boston. They are one a great run of form at the moment, closing put last week on a run that saw them win 8 out of 10. The Celtics won the earlier meeting this season, so revenger will be on the minds of the 76ers.

Phoenix Suns at Atlanta Hawks

When: Thursday
Where: State Farm Arena

Time: 6:30 PM EST
TV: NBA TV

Speaking of revenge, that will certainly be on the minds of the Phoenix Suns in this one. They were clown out 132-100 by the Hawks in their last meeting this season, with the Suns losing that one on home court. Phoenix, though, are bouncing back and starting to get healthy, winning 8 of their last 10 games to move up into the #5 seed in the Western Conference. Atlanta has been playing .500 ball over the last 10 games and find themselves stuck in the play-in zone in the East. I think we might see a different result than the last meeting.
