Betting 2024 NFL Season

No doubt, the deepest division in the NFL is the AFC North.

The Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers are all playoff contenders in 2024.

Most expect Baltimore and Cincinnati to win at least 11 games.

Will the Ravens and Bengals reward over backers? Should NFL handicappers go over or under the win totals for the Steelers and Browns?

Keep reading for NFL odds, analysis, and picks for AFC North teams to go over or under their win totals.

Writer’s Picks for the 2024 AFC North Picks

Baltimore Ravens

Over 10.5 -122
Under 10.5 +100

The Ravens thought last season was their season.

Baltimore acquired home field advantage throughout the playoffs and made it to the AFC Championship.

But a loss to the eventual Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, led to a disappointing end.

Instead of wallowing in grief, Baltimore decided to get better.

Nelson Agholor adds another solid veteran weapon to Lamar Jackson’s arsenal.

Signing Derrick Henry is huge because Henry doesn’t just carry the football.

He’s also a great pass catching running back.

The defense will again be one of the top units in the league.

Over is the play.

Baltimore Win Total Pick: Over

Cincinnati Bengals

Over 10.5 -120
Under 10.5 -102

It’s tough to back the Bengals to win more than 10 games.

Cincinnati will have a solid team but if history is any indication, Joe Burrow will suffer an injury that keeps him out for multiple games.

The Bengals also must change the offense now that Zack Moss is the featured back.

Moss doesn’t have the pass catching skills that Joe Mixon possesses.

Chase Brown does but Brown has never been an every down back.

The defense will be solid but it won’t be great.

To hang with Lamar and the Ravens you must field a great defense.

Bengals maybe win 10 but that’s it.

Cincinnati Win Total Pick: Under 10.5

Cleveland Browns

Over 8.5 -138
Under 8.5 +122

Over has become the play on the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns should have an electric offense because Deshaun Watson finally gets to show what he can do.

Watson hasn’t played due to suspensions as well as injuries.

Cleveland added Jerry Jeudy from the Broncos to help Watson in his quest to return to the upper echelons of quarterbacks in the NFL.

Amari Cooper is one of the better receivers in the AFC.

Once again the offensive line is going to rock.

It doesn’t matter who carries the football when Cleveland’s line is healthy.

Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, leads one of the top Ds in the league.

Kevin Stefanski is a fantastic head coach.

Cleveland wins 9 and could win up to 11 and challenge the Ravens for the NFC North title.

Cleveland Win Total Pick: Over 8.5

Pittsburgh Steelers

Over 8.5 +136
Under 8.5 -170

Money has begun to drop onto the under.

It’s not hard to figure out why.

Neither Russell Wilson nor Justin Fields pulled away from the other during training camp.

Wilson looks like a shell of the quarterback that led Seattle in his early season in the league.

Fields doesn’t play like a starting NFL signal caller.

He hasn’t improved from his rookie season and continues to rely on his athleticism to get the job done.

Using your athleticism is great but Fields doesn’t know the position the way other athletic quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Jalen Hurts do.

The defense will be solid.

Too much pressure will again fall on the D to help the Steelers to victories.

Go under to cash.

Pittsburgh Win Total Pick: Under 8.5

NFL AFC North Team Totals Betting Predictions: O/U Picks for the 2023 Season

Previous Betting News

Now, this is a division to be excited about. The AFC North has all the storylines to it. The division sees really good talent from top to bottom.

The division also has historic teams and rivalries, which will spice up the 2023 season.

Let’s take a look at our AFC North Team Totals betting predictions.

AFC North Team Totals Betting Predictions: O/U Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview

National Football Conference Southern Division | AFC North
Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers

Regular Season Wins: 8.5
Quarterback: Kenny Pickett
Head coach: Mike Tomlin

The Steelers are going with Kenny Pickett as their starting quarterback. Mike Tomlin is going to be ready for this season, as he is not ready for another miss of the playoffs. But do the Steelers have the talent to get it done? Pittsburgh plays some of the worst teams in the league this season, so there is a chance at the OVER here.

If Pittsburgh can figure out how to keep Pickett upright and run the ball effectively, they can win nine games. Let’s get them to 9 and take the OVER 8.5.

AFC North Win Total Pick: 8.5 | Bet Steelers Win Totals
MyBookie Betting Props for the Division

Cleveland Browns

Regular Season Wins: 9.5
Quarterback: Deshaun Watson
Head coach: Kevin Stefanski

What can the Browns do with DeShaun Watson for a full season? We are set to find that out in 2023.

Watson and the Browns will find out right away, as three of their first four games are divisional games. The Browns will also use Nick Chubb early and often, as they can’t lose sight of the fact he is the toughest running back in the league.

Cleveland has a relatively soft late portion of the schedule, so look for them to be close to this number. In the end, nine wins seem about right for the Browns. Take the UNDER.

AFC North Win Total Pick: 9.5 | Bet Browns Win Totals
MyBookie Betting Props for the Division

Baltimore Ravens

Regular Season Wins: 10.5
Quarterback: Lamar Jackson
Head coach: John Harbaugh

2023 is the season to buy all the stock in the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson got paid and is going to be motivated to show how elite he is.

This is an MVP-type season for Jackson. The quarterback will see an easier schedule than some of the other top AFC teams, and he is looking to take advantage of that.

Look for Jackson to improve upon his passing of a season ago, but continue to run the football down opponents’ throats. This is an over. If we had to predict, we are taking Baltimore for 12 wins in 2023.

AFC North Win Total Pick: 10.5 | Bet Ravens Win Totals
MyBookie Betting Props for the Division

Cincinnati Bengals

Regular Season Wins: 10.5
Quarterback: Joe Burrow
Head coach: Zac Taylor

This is an interesting one because the loss of Joe Burrow would make this an easy prediction to make.

Burrow should be back for the start of the regular season, but there is no guarantee on that one. The Bengals have a tough schedule that sees them take on numerous top teams in the league.

Burrow and Chase should make for a great combination all year long. This is close. This is a team that could go 10-7 or could be 11-6/12-5. In the end, taking the UNDER is probably the safe choice; if there is an early Burrow injury, it seems like shaky news.

AFC North Win Total Pick: 10.5 | Bet Bengals Win Totals

AFC North Best Over/Under Win Total Bets for 2023 NFL Season

Previous Betting News

Every season in the NFL, there are always some divisions that are more difficult to predict than the rest. This year, the AFC North looks to be one that could go in a variety of different directions. There is a definite favorite to be found, but the NFL odds between the Bengals, who the bookies have as the favorite, and the Steelers, who are the longest odds on the board, are really not that much in the grand scheme of things. This is a division that could well turn depending on how the head-to-head matchups go, but what we are going to do right now is simply look at the win totals for all 4 teams and predict either the OVER or UNDER, so let’s get to it.

Best Over/Under Win Total Bets for the 2023 NFL AFC North Team Totals | MyBookie NFL Betting Predictions

2023 NFL season | 104th season of National Football League in the United States
September 7, 2023–February 11, 2024

Cincinnati Bengals | O/U 11 ½

The Bengals have won the North in each of the last 2 seasons and have also gone to a Super Bowl during that time, so no real surprise that they are in as the favorites for the three-peat. Despite looking at some salary cap issues this offseason, the Bengals were able to keep all their key players, so their window of opportunity is wide open right now. As long as Joe Burrow stays healthy and under center, there is no reason why this team can’t win the division and make a deep playoff run. I’m taking the OVER here.

Over/Under Total Pick: Bet Cincinnati Bengals Win Total O/U 11 ½

MyBookie Betting Lines for the NFL

Baltimore Ravens | O/U 10

It looked for a moment as though Lamar Jackson might be moving on, but he chose to sign a new contract with the Ravens, which certainly helps their chances of challenging for the division, and perhaps even a Super Bowl. The concern I have with this team is the health of Jackson. When he is on the sidelines, the Ravens look a little ordinary on the offensive side of the football, and since Jackson has struggled to stay healthy over the past couple of years, the win total here looks a little risky. I might be tempted to go UNDER, although a push is also possible.

Over/Under Total Pick: Bet Baltimore Ravens Win Total O/U 10

MyBookie Betting Lines for the NFL

Cleveland Browns | O/U 9

The Browns took a huge, not to mention highly controversial, risk when they made the move to land QB DeShaun Watson. It was a move that failed to reap any kind of dividends in year one, but after sitting out for such a long time, there was always a chance that Watson would be rusty. The question now is whether he can get back to his best with a full season under his belt. If he can’t, the Browns are going to need to lean very heavily on their D and hope to pull out some wins. With that in mind, I am taking the UNDER.

Over/Under Total Pick: Bet Cleveland Browns Win Total O/U 9

MyBookie Betting Lines for the NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers | O/U 8 ½

Last year was very much a transition season for the Steelers, as they battled salary cap issues and went with a rookie QB to replace Big Ben. Kenny Pickett started to look more comfortable in the QB1 roll as the season progressed, leading his team to 4 straight wins to end the season, a run that took the Steelers to 9-8 and gave coach Mike Tomlin his 16th straight year without a losing season. The Steelers had a great draft and were busy in free agency, and they could well be the surprise team of the season. I am all about the OVER here.

Over/Under Total Pick: Bet Pittsburgh Steelers Win Total O/U 8 ½

AFC North Win Total Over/Under Predictions For 2017 NFL Season

Previous Betting News

Baltimore Ravens (7.5)

Will Ben Roethlisberger and the explosive Pittsburgh Steelers win double-digit games again after racking up 11 victories in 2016? Can Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens get back to being a double-digit winner after going a modest 8-8 and missing out on the playoffs for the second straight season and third time in the last four years?

Will the Cincinnati Bengals get back to being a playoff participant in 2017 after seeing their streak of five straight postseason appearances snapped a year ago? Last but not least, can Hue Jackson get his Cleveland browns to look more competent than they ever did in his first season in 2016? You’re going to find out the answers to all of the aforementioned questions as I offer up my expert analysis on each NFC North team’s 2017 regular season win total odds. Find the latest NFL betting odds here.

In Depth Analysis On The AFC North Win Total Over/Under Predictions For 2017 NFL Season

AFC North

Baltimore 9.5 Wins

Home: Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Texans, Colts, Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
Away: Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Jaguars (in London), Titans, Raiders, Packers, Minnesota Vikings

Analysis: The Ravens (8-8) will open with a road loss at Cincinnati before coming home in Week 2 to beat Cleveland. A road win at Jacksonville and home win against Pittsburgh will come in Weeks 3 and 4 followed by a road loss at Oakland. I like Flacco and the Ravens to pound Chicago senseless at home in Week 6 before squeaking past Minnesota on the road a week later. A home loss to Miami and road loss at Tennessee will likely come just before Baltimore’s week 10 bye.

After that, I’m seeing a road loss at Green Bay, a narrow home win over Houston, a home victory over Detroit and a road loss against the Steelers. I then like Baltimore to close out the regular season with a road win at Cleveland and home wins over Indianapolis and Cincinnati to finish at 9-7 and just narrowly under their 9.5-game win total odds. Baltimore needs to put more points on the board after finishing 21st in scoring (21.4 ppg) in 2016.

Pick: Under 9.5 Wins

Cincinnati 8.5 Wins

Home: Ravens, Browns, Steelers, Bills, Colts, Texans, Bears, Lions
Away: Ravens, Browns, Steelers, Broncos Titans, Jaguars, Packers, Vikings

Analysis: The Bengals fell all the way to 6-9 after making the playoffs in each of the previous five seasons, but they could rebound nicely after making some nice offseason acquisitions. I’ve got Cincy beating Baltimore at home in their opener before losing at home to Houston in Week 2 and falling at Green bay a week later. The Bengals will pound Cleveland in Week 4 before squeaking past Buffalo just prior to their week 6 bye.

I like the Bengals to beat Pittsburgh on the road in Week 7 before beating the Colts at home in Week 8 and Jacksonville on the road the following week. A pair of road losses at Tennessee and Denver will follow before Andy Dalton and company complete their regular season sweep of Cleveland in Week 12.

A home loss to the Steelers should come in Week 13 followed a pair of home wins against Chicago and Detroit in Weeks 14 and 16 should sandwich a narrow road loss at Minnesota in week 15 before the Bengals drop their regular season finale in Baltimore to finish at 9-7. Cincinnati really lost a lot of their explosiveness on offense last season as they ranked in the middle third in total yards, passing and rushing while finishing a discouraging 24th in points scored (20.3 ppg).

Pick: Over 8.5 Wins

Pittsburgh 10.5 Wins

Home: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Patriots, Jaguars, Titans, Packers, Vikings
Away: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Texans, Colts, Chiefs, Bears, Lions

Analysis: The Steelers (11-5) will be looking to take a step forward after falling short of their Super Bowl hopes a year ago despite finishing an encouraging 11th in scoring (24.9 ppg) and 10th in points allowed (20.4 ppg).

In 2017, I’ve got the Steelers winning in Cleveland in their opener before coming home to beat Minnesota in Week 2. I like the Steelers to win in Chicago before falling at Baltimore in week 4. A home win over Jacksonville will take place just after that, followed by another loss at Kansas City.

I then like Ben Roethlisberger and company to win at home against Cincinnati and at Detroit before their Week 9 bye. I’ve then got the Steelers winning in Indianapolis and at home against Tennessee before getting upset at Heinz Field by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

A road loss at Cincinnati will take place in Week 13 before the Steelers get impressive home wins against Baltimore and New England, a road win at Houston and a home win in their finale against the Browns to finish at 12-4 or an identical 11-5 like they went last season.

Pick: Over 10.5 Wins

Cleveland 4.5 Wins

Home: Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Jets, Jaguars, Titans, Packers, Vikings (in London)
Away: Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Chargers, Texans, Colts, Bears, Lions

Analysis: The Browns didn’t get the quarterback they still need, but they did have a very good draft and that alone should help them take a slight step forward in 2017. I like Cleveland to beat the Jets and Jaguars at home in Weeks 5 and 11 and the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 16. I also have to say that I don’t think Cleveland will lose all six AFC North division matchups either, so, I’m thinking 4-12 sounds about right or maybe 5-111 in a best case scenario, although five wins could be pushing it a bit seeing as how the Browns still need to identify who their starting quarterback will be and finished the 2016 season ranked a pitiful 31st in scoring (16.5 ppg) and equally disturbing 30th in points allowed (28.2 ppg).

Pick: Under 4.5 Wins

Previous Betting News

Baltimore Ravens (7.5)

With the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens all looking to become serious contenders for a berth in Super Bowl 51 and the Cleveland Browns kicking off their latest rebuilding project, NFL betting buffs across the globe need to know how many victories each AFC North Super Bowl hopeful will record in 2016. Thanks to this expert 2016 win total odds betting analysis, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many wins each AFC North resident will likely pick up this coming season. With that said and the 2016 NFL Draft just around the corner, let’s get started.

2016 Pro Football Season AFC North Total Wins Lines Predictions

Baltimore Ravens (7.5)

The Ravens will be looking to bounce back in 2016 after injuries completely derailed any chance they had for success last season. The good news for this perennially winning franchise is that they’ve suffered just five losing seasons since 1998, making them a virtual lock selection against their 2016 win total odds.

I’ve got Joe Flacco and company losing road games against the Giants, Jets, Patriots, Steelers and Bengals while potentially running the table at home. While I’ve got Baltimore losing just four games, I think the more realistic outcome is about six losses. Either way, the Ravens easily top their super-low 2016 win total odds, making them one of the best picks on the board.

The Pick: Baltimore 10-6/Over

Cincinnati Bengals (9.5)

The Cincinnati Bengals (12-4) will look to get right back into Super Bowl title contention after a late-season injury to starting quarterback Andy Dalton effectively squashed any chance they had for postseason success a year ago. Dalton now will be back and the Bengals have won 52 games the last five seasons, making them a statistical lock to reach the double-digit win mark again in 2016. Now, let’s find out how many games Cincy will win in 2016.

I’ve got Andy Dalton and company losing road games against Pittsburgh, New England, and Baltimore while either running the table at home or dropping one home game to a division rival. Either way, the Bengals easily reach the double-digit win mark in 2016.

The Pick: Cincinnati 12-/4 Over

Pittsburgh Steelers (10.5)

With the Steelers (10-6) expecting to have a fully healthy Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Bryant and Le’Veon Bell next season, I say there’s no reason why the perennially powerful franchise won’t be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Still, Pittsburgh has won 11 games or more just four times in the past 10 years, so history is clearly on their side.

I’ve got Big Ben and company dropping road games against Baltimore, Indianapolis Cincinnati and home games against Kansas City and New England to finish at 11-5 and just barely OVER their 2016 win total odds, though I admit it’s going to be close.

The Pick: Pittsburgh 11-5/Over

Cleveland Browns (4.5)

The Cleveland Browns (3-13) made a great hire by nabbing widely-respected offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, but this is a team that will have its work cut out in its latest rebuilding project. Let’s find out.

I’ve got Cleveland losing road games at Philly, Miami, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Buffalo and Pittsburgh and home games against the Ravens, Patriots, Jets, Cowboys, Steelers, Giants and Bengals to finish at either 3-13 or potentially 4-14. Still, with the Browns winning five games or more in nine of the last 15 seasons, I think it’s quite possible that RG3 could lead Cleveland to five wins this coming season.

The Pick: Cleveland 3-13/Under
