2024 UEFA Champions League Draw Analysis

Champions League Group A:
Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Copenhagen, Galatasaray

Harry Kane has dominated. Bayern’s new striker is showing why Tottenham was so hesitant to part ways. Bayern wins Group A.

Man United should finish second. Rasmus Hojlund, United’s news striker, should be ready before the first group stage match. So the Red Devils will beat Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Group A Winner: Bayern
Group A Second: Manchester United

Champions League Group B:
Sevilla, Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, Lens

Europa League winner Sevilla has not had a good start to the LaLiga season. Sevilla will be a disappointment at the Champions League level.

Lens isn’t good enough. PSV Eindhoven can upset Arsenal and win the group. But the Gunners have become one of the Premier’s top clubs. Arsenal wins and PSV finishes second.

Group B Winner: Arsenal
Group B Second: PSV Eindhoven

Champions League Group C:
Napoli, Real Madrid, Braga, Union Berlin

Braga and Union Berlin are terrific soccer teams. Both would skate to the knockout stage if they didn’t have to face Napoli and Real Madrid.

Real is the greatest Champions League squad in history. So El Blanco stamps their ticket with a group crown. As long as Victor Osimhen plays for Napoli, and right now he does, Napoli will get by Braga and Berlin.

Group C Winner: Real Madrid
Group C Second: Napoli

Champions League Group D:
Benfica, Internazionale, Salzburg, Real Sociedad

Inter made it to last season’s UEFA Champions League Final. The team is good enough to at least win Group D and make it to the Round of 16.

Benfica and Real Sociedad should fight for second place. Salzburg is solid, but they play in a lower level league and don’t have the players to upset either Benfica or Sociedad. Of the two, the Portuguese Liga squad, Benfica, gets the nod.

Group D Winner: Internazionale
Group D Second: Benfica

Champions League Group E:
Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Celtic, Lazio

On paper, it’s Atletico and Lazio, right? Not so fast. Atletico should be a lock to win the group, but Lazio will have a tough time beating Celtic.

Celtic is a solid franchsie and Lazio doesn’t appear to be as good this season as they were last. Atletico to win and Celtic to finish second.

Group E Winner: Atletico
Group E Second: Celtic

Champions League Group F:
Paris Saint-Germain, Dortmund, AC Milan, Newcastle

On paper, the Group of Death is well, the Group of Death. Ah, but Paris won’t be focused. Neymar is gone. Messi is gone and Mbappe wants out.
Dortmund is solid. So we can’t discount their chances. AC Milan, though, is a different squad with Christian Pulisic. The American has 2 goals in 2 games from 4 shots.

Newcastle will upset Dortmund and finish second. The Premier League squad has become one of the better teams in the EPL.

Group F Winner: AC Milan
Group F Second: Newcastle

Champions League Group H:
Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Antwerp

Barca and Porto have a free pass. Shakhtar Donetsk and Antwerp fought hard to qualify for he Champions League, but they landed in the same group as two of the better UEFA squads.

Barca routinely wins Spanish LaLiga. Porto routinely wins Portuguese Liga. Barcelona finishes first and Porto finishes second.

Group H Winner: Barcelona
Group H Second: Porto

UEFA 2021-22 Champions League Qualifying Matches Betting Analysis

Previous Betting News

Champions League matches start this week with teams like AS Monaco, Shakhtar Donetsk, Dynamo Zagreb and Young Boys looking to play their way into the CL. Check out analysis and free picks for this Tuesday’s top UEFA Champions League Qualifying matches so you can get ready to bet against their Champions League odds

Soccer Betting Preview for Champions League Qualifying Matches (Qualif. 3 – 2nd Leg)

Ferencvaros Vs Slavia Prague

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

Ferencvaros dominated Slavia Prague 2-0 in the first match on August. 8. Although there’s reason to believe Prague plays much better this time around, there’s also a reason to believe Ferencvaros takes it easy. The draw is the most likely outcome.

Soccer Pick: Draw

Racing Genk Vs Shakhtar Donetsk

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

In the first leg on August 3, Shakhtar Donetsk beat Racing Genk 2-1. Shakhtar has the ability to win this one again. The victory happen on Racing Genk’s pitch, which mean Shakhtar will close the deal with, most likely, a 1-0 victory.

Soccer Pick: Shakhtar Donetsk

Sparta Prague Vs AS Monaco

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

Monaco believes they deserve a spot in the Champions League. The Italy Serie A team beat Sparta Prague 2-0 in the first leg. Monaco has made some changes this season that should make them competitive once the CL starts, which means they won’t leave anything to chance in this.

Soccer Pick: AS Monaco

PSV Eindhoven Vs FC Midtjylland

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

FC Midtjylland beat Vejle BK 4-1 on August 6. Before the match with Vejle, Eindhoven dusted Midtjylland 3-0, which is the reason that even though PSV Eindhoven fell 0-4 to Ajax Amsterdam on August 7, they deserve the nod to win this.

Soccer Pick: PSV Eindhoven

Olympiakos Vs Ludogorets Razgrad

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

Olympiakos is better known, but Ludogorets Razgrad pushed for a draw in the first head-to-head. Don’t expect a 1-1 draw repeat. In the first match, Ludogorets played Olympiakos on their pitch. Olympiakos plays their rivals on their field.

Soccer Pick: Olympiakos

CFR Cluj-Napoca Vs Young Boys

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

Swiss Super League power Young Boys played Cluj-Napoca to a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Young Boys dropped a match to FC Scion on August 7. But they’re better than their Romanian League opponents. Expect the Young Boys to turn the tables on Cluj-Napoca.

Soccer Pick: Young Boys

Spartak Moscow Vs Benfica

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

Portuguese Liga team Benfica beat Spartak Moscow 2-0 in the first leg. This happens in Russia, which gives Moscow a shot, but Spartak is in a big hole. With a 2-goal league, Benfica won’t push the attack. Expect a draw.

Soccer Pick: Draw

 Dinamo Zagreb Vs Legia Warsaw

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

These teams drew 1-1 in the first match. Legia Warsaw and Dinamo Zagreb show similar form with 4 victories in 4 matches before the draw. Legia Warsaw can force a 0-0 draw and they’d win the aggregate via away goals. Warsaw should complete the mission.

Soccer Pick: Draw

Malmo FF Vs Rangers

When: Tuesday, Aug. 10

The Rangers are a decent Scottish Premiership team. But Malmo FF beat the Rangers 2-1 in the last head-to-head. Going all out won’t help the Rangers in this. It could lead to an easy score on the other end. Still, with a lead, Malmo won’t force the issue. A draw is possible.

Soccer Pick: Draw

Previous Betting News

Group A: Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Malmo, Shakhtar Donetsk

The French champion club and the 10-time champions in Real Madrid are the two who should emerge from this group to no surprise of Soccer betting fans , but the reason why they have group play is to see who messes up. Shakhtar Donetsk had to move to Kviv as a result of the Ukraine conflict, but they still played well…until Luiz Adriano left for Milan and Douglas Costa left for Bayern this summer. Malmo will be ready. The first games come on September 15 as PSG takes on Malmo and Real takes on Shakhtar Donetsk.

Manchester United finally have a tough group opponent now that Bundesliga runners-up Wolfsburg are in there with them. PSV has lost Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, which could cost them when it comes to emerging from group play. If Manchester City buy Kevin De Bruyne away from Wolfsburg, that would create a huge hole there. For now, Man U and Wolfsburg should emerge. The first games come on September 15 as PSV has Man U and Wolfsburg has CSKA Moscow.

Group C: Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Astana, Galatasaray

No team from Kazakhstan has every qualified for the group stage – until Astana, who have been on a steady climb since they were formed in 2008. Benfica will have a 10-hour flight to play Astana in the group opener, which could potend a tough match. Galatasaray did not win any group tilts last year. Look for Benfica and Atletico Madrid to qualify. On September 15, the other opening match sees Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid facing off.

Group D: Juventus, Manchester City, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Sevilla

Once more, City find themselves in another Champions League “Group of Death” with the Italian champions, the Europa League holders, and Germany’s third best team. Juventus and City should come out. On September 15, City play Juventus and Sevilla must deal with Borussia.

Group E: Barcelona, Roma, Bate Borisov, Bayer Leverkusen

Barcelona shouldn’t have any trouble coming through this group. They beat Bate Borisov 4-0 and 5-0 in 2011 and dominated Bayer Leverkusen 7-1 in 2012 as Lionel Messi tallied five goals. Roma looks like the other team who will come out of this group. They open play on September 16 as Bayer Leverkusen take on Bate Borisov and Roma and Batcelona square off.

Group F: Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Dinamo Zagreb, Olympiakos

Arsenal and Bayern Munich should emerge fairly easy against Olympiakos and the champions of Croatia. Of course, given that Olympiakos is in the middle of a match-fixing investigation makes it an excellent question as to whether they should be even included in the draw at all. On September 16, Olympiakos have Bayern Munich while Dinamo Zagreb face Arsenal.

Group G: Maccabi Tel Aviv, Chelsea, Porto, Dynamo Kyiv

When Jose Mourinho managed Porto, he won the 2004 Champions League title. Now managing Chelsea, Mourinho can revisit the site of his former glory – and rekindle is ongoing feud with Porto goalie Iker Casillas. If Andriy Yarmolenko stays with Dynamo Kyiv, the team could scare some of their foes, but it looks like Porto and Chelsea will come out. On September 16, Dynamo Kyiv face Proto and Maccabi Tel Aviv tackle Chelsea.

Group H: Zenit St. Petersburg, Lyon, Valencia, Gent

Valencia qualified thanks to a playoff win over Monaco, and they are now in a competitive group. Gent shocked Belgium by winning their entry, and Lyon could legitimately challenge Zenit St. Petersburg who still have not made a big dent in the Champions League. Look for Zenit St. Petersburg and Lyon to qualify. September 16 will see Gent taking on Lyon and Valencia dealing with Zenit St. Petersburg.
