After another wild weekend of college football games, we’ve finally concluded the regular season. It is now Conference Championship Week, and we’ll see some very important games played this weekend.

1. Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the three remaining undefeated teams in the FBS. Georgia will now have a date with LSU in the SEC Championship game. LSU is coming off a loss to Texas A&M, so LSU no longer has a shot at a playoff spot. The Tigers are now looking to play the spoiler.

Even with a loss to LSU, Georgia is more than likely still going to make the playoffs. Georgia will undoubtedly be the #1 seed in the playoffs with a win.

2. Michigan Wolverines

With a dominating victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus, the Michigan Wolverines have moved up to #2 in this week’s poll.

Michigan manhandled the Buckeyes on Saturday. Michigan’s defense overpowered the flashy Ohio State offense. Michigan’s offense also did a great job, and that was without their top player, Blake Corum. Michigan will now face Purdue in the Big 10 title game. Michigan, by far, will have the easiest path to the playoffs.

3. TCU Horned Frogs

Even though many experts kept waiting for TCU to lose, it never happened. The Horned Frogs will take on Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game. Kansas State had TCU on the ropes in their regular season meeting, but the Horned Frogs stormed back to take a 38-28 win.

With a win, TCU is a playoff team. With a loss, we’re not sure what the committee will do. TCU knows they have to win, or they could be on the outside looking in.

4. USC Trojans

Lincoln Riley never expected to be in this spot in his first season, but due to the transfer portal, he was able to do a quick rebuild, and now the USC Trojans are playing for a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

To earn a playoff spot, the Trojans will have to avenge their lone loss on the season as they take on Utah in the Pac-12 Championship game on Friday night. USC must win this one, or they won’t make the playoffs.

With the way Michigan is playing right now, we don’t think Purdue can stay with them. Michigan will win this game by at least 21 points, as they’ll want to prove to everyone that they are a dominant team and aren’t scared of the SEC or any other conference.
