2020 NBA Betting News & Rumors – Sept. 28th Edition

Written by on September 28, 2020

While the 2020 NBA Finals are now set as the Miami Heat look to pull off the upset over the favored Los Angeles Lakers, there’s a ton of rumors going on all around the league that could affect both championship participants and almost every other team in the league. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest rumors taking place across the NBA landscape right now so you can prepare your bets for the next season against their NBA odds.

The Latest 2020 NBA Rumors In the Spotlight (Sept. 28th)

Minnesota

Rumors have the Minnesota Timberwolves selecting point guard LaMelo Ball with the top overall pick in the draft – if they can’t find a suitable trade that would substantially improve their young roster.

Philadelphia

Recent rumors have the 76ers going with former Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni as their new head coach after parting ways with former head coach Brett Brown. Another rumor has Philly moving veteran big man, Al Horford, who should have never bolted from Boston. While the C’s definitely aren’t a potential landing spot, Horford is widely respected throughout the league.

Indiana

There are rumors that Indiana is eyeing Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Brown, but I’m trying to figure out why the Pacers parted ways with winning former head coach Nate McMillian who is eerily reminiscent to Brown if you ask me.

There’s another rumor involving the Pacers that says Indiana could go after Boston’s Gordon Hayward, who has also been said to be a target of the young Memphis Grizzlies.

Milwaukee

The Bucks are reportedly going hard after veteran floor leader Chris Paul with reports saying that superstar team leader Giannis Antetokounmpo being in full agreement with the proposed move. Paul averaged a stellar 17.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.0 rebounds this past season while showing everyone in the league that he is still, without a doubt, a starting point guard. George Hill, Eric Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo and D.J. Wilson could all be moved in any potential trade.

Atlanta Hawks

Rumors have former Rockets center Clint Capela going back to the Rockets as part of a proposed trade that could land the Hawks veteran sniper Eric Gordon, among other players.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics made a nice run to the Eastern Conference semis, but their lack of size crushed them – and head coach Brad Stevens made a handful of mistakes by not playing veteran big man Enes Kanter and young big man Robert Williams more against the Miami Heat. Now, reports say the C’s could go after Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner, but there would have to be some serious deal-making in order for that to happen.

Dallas Mavericks

There are rumors saying that Pacers former all-star shooting guard Victor Oladipo could be moved and the Mavericks wants and needs a player of his caliber.

New Orleans

The Pelicans are reportedly intrigued with Brooklyn Nets swingman Caris Levert while other rumors say they could move sweet-shooting veteran J.J. Redick in another deal.

Orlando

The Magic are reportedly intent on moving underachieving small forward Aaron Gordon. Minnesota and Golden State have both been mentioned as possible suitors, so stayed tuned for more on the high-flying Gordon.
