The first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is in full swing, and while a couple of series are on the brink of being done, there are many more that are as tight as it gets. This is really not that surprising, as the teams that make it into the postseason are, for the most part, rather evenly matched. There is still a lot of hockey to be played before we see a champion crowned, but the odds are continually changing. This series is very much on the brink of being over, with the Hurricanes holding a 3-1 lead. The series shifts back to Carolina for the next two games, so you would expect the Hurricanes to clinch and move on sooner rather than later.

It’s another close one, with the series, which is now down to a best-of-3, tied at 2-2. I had the Oilers winning this one in 7, and with 3 of the final 3 games set to be played North of the Border, I am sticking with that pick.
