NFL Week 17 Against the Spread Betting Picks, Odds, and Predictions

It’s the penultimate week of the NFL regular season, with just 3 playoff spots now up for grabs. There is only one available in the AFC, while the NFC still has two open spots. Besides that, there are division titles to be decided, which will also have an impact on the final seeding. That seeding will determine what path every team needs to take to get to the Super Bowl. How much of that will be decided remains to be seen, but I believe we are still going to have important games with playoff implications in the final week. For now, let’s focus on Week 17 and a trip of picks against the spread that we really like for NFL Odds.

Week 17 ATS Betting Predictions | 2022 NFL Odds

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons (-3 ½)

For a while, it looked as though the Atlanta Falcons were going to stay in the hunt for what has been a really weak NFC South division. A run of 4 straight losses has killed that, though, and they are now officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Cardinals are also going out with a bit of a whimper, losing 5 in a row and seeing QB Kyler Murray shit down for the year with an injury. Looking at the Falcons, they don’t seem like a particularly good bet against the spread, covering just twice in their last 9 games. That, though, is different when they face teams from the NFC West. In those games, they are 13-4 ATS in their last 17.

Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants (-5)

If you want to talk about disastrous seasons, you need to be talking about the Indianapolis Colts. This was a team that believed the last missing piece was an elite QB, which was why they went out and got Matt Ryan in the offseason. He has been benched and the Colts have stumbled to a 4-11-1 record on the season. This weekend, they are off to face the 8-6-1 Giants, who are on the brink of clinching a playoff berth. The Colts have not been a very good bet this season and are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games. The Giants are 1-7 SU in their last 8 versus the Colts, but I think they change that this weekend and improve upon their 4-1 ATS record in the last 5 overall.

San Francisco 49ers (-6) at Las Vegas Raiders

The 49ers have clinched their division and the playoff spot that comes with it, but they are still looking to move up to the #2 seed. They are also looking to get 3rd string QB Brock Purdy more reps as he gets set to be under center in the playoffs for the first time. This is a team that has won 8 in a row going against a Raiders team that are on the brink of elimination after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend. Desperation can be a great motivator, but I really think the Raiders are up against it here, even in their own building. The 49ers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall, as well as 10-0 ATS in their last 10 played in the month of January.
