Cincinnati Bengals: 2020 Season Recap

The Bengals had some growing pains with rookie quarterback Joe Burrow, aided by his late-season knee injury. Cincinnati finished 4-11-1 and had the rights to the fifth pick in the draft as a result.

Burrow’s injury was gruesome, tearing both his ACL and MCL, but reports indicate he’ll be ready for the start of 2021. The Bengals reunited Burrow with his favorite weapon at LSU in wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, taken at #5 in the draft.

Cincinnati Bengals: Odds for 2021

MyBookie has you covered for all things NFL betting. On site, you can find every available bet for the Bengals, from Week 1 odds to Super Bowl LVI odds and everything in between.

Only two teams have worse odds than the Bengals to win the Super Bowl. Cincy is tied with the Jets and Jaguars at +8000 odds.

The Bengals have the second-worst odds to win the AFC, with current odds listed at +5000.

Cincinnati, among three playoff teams a year ago, has the worst odds to win the AFC North. Their odds are currently +1400.

Cincinnati Bengals: 2021 Schedule

The Bengals are always going to have a tough schedule out the gate, having to play each of the Steelers, Ravens, and Browns twice. All three teams made the playoffs last season, and the Ravens and Browns, in particular, seemed to have gotten better in the offseason.

The Bengals will draw the AFC West this season, another tough division that could house multiple playoff teams, including two-time defending AFC champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cincy will get the NFC North, a division slightly in flux, a favorable draw if Aaron Rodgers leaves the Packers.

Rounding out the schedule, the Bengals will get the Jaguars, Jets, and 49ers thanks to their last-place schedule. The Jets and Jaguars are a nice draw, but San Francisco should bounce back this season.

The teams on Cincinnati’s schedule:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (x2)
  • Baltimore Ravens (x2)
  • Cleveland Browns (x2)
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Denver Broncos
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • Chicago Bears
  • Detroit Lions
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • New York Jets
  • San Francisco 49ers

2021 Season Prediction

The success of 2021 will go back to Burrow’s knee. Can he maintain the mobility and strength that made him the top pick a year ago? Tearing multiple ligaments and returning in nine months is no small feat, so it’s to accurately gauge the Bengals chances this season.

Their offensive line needs to take a big step this season, and the defense must steady for the Bengals to compete. The offense is starting to stack some weapons, with Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and Joe Mixon in the fold.

It’s best to avoid Bengal futures this season, though if you trust Burrow’s health, taking a flier on the Bengals over 6.5 wins is a worthy bet.
