NFL 2021 Regular Season Week 5 SU Betting Picks

NFL 2021 Regular Season Week 5 SU Betting Picks

The opening month of the NFL season in the books and you have to say that it has been somewhat unpredictable. With 4 games played, there is now just 1 team that remains unbeaten. The Arizona Cardinals became that lone team when the 4 others who were previously unbeaten went down in Week 4. It is going to be interesting to see how long the Cardinals can stay that way, and what impact it will have on their season. We all remember how the Pittsburgh Steelers collapsed last season after getting out to an 11-0 start. Long story short, a positive start to the season is great, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. There are some very big games on the schedule this week and we will be looking to improve on out 6-6 SU pick record with some more winners, so let’s get to it to continue betting against the NFL odds.

NFL Betting | Straight-Up Picks for Week 4 of the 2021 Season

LA Rams over Seattle Seahawks

Winning on the road is always tough in the NFL, but there are some places that are tougher to get a result than others. While Seattle may not be as tough a place to win as it was when the Seahawks were routinely heading to the Super Bowl, it is still not an easy place to go and try to get a win. The LA Rams will be heading there for the Thursday night game as they look to bounce back from their first loss of the season last weekend. The Rams have had success against the Seahawks in the past and have won 6 of their last 8 meetings with Seattle. They are also a rather impressive 13-5 SU in their last 18 games versus teams from the NFC. This has all the makings of a close one, but I like the Rams to take it.

Pittsburgh Steelers over Denver Broncos

No matter how good you have been for a franchise and for how long, there comes a time when you have a poor season. That is how things are looking for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have been the model franchise in the NFL for longer than most of us can remember. They have an aging QB who looks washed up, an O-Line filled with rookies, and an injury list that is getting longer by the week. On the flipside, the Denver Broncos are off to a 3-1 start, but they too are now getting hit by the injury bug in a big way. This has all the makings of a low-scoring defensive struggle, but who comes out on top? While struggling this season, the Steelers are still 11-2 SU in their last 13 games played in October. I’m taking Pittsburgh to win.

Tennessee Titans over Jacksonville Jaguars

Every team comes into the new season with a certain level of expectation resting on their shoulders. After a month of the season, you begin to get a good idea of how close each team is to matching those expectations. At 2-2-, which includes a loss to the lowly New York Jets, the Titans are underwhelming a lot of people this season. On the flipside, you have the 0-4 Jacksonville Jaguars sitting right where everyone expected them to be. Tennessee needs to get themselves right after that awful loss to the Jets, and this would appear to be the perfect matchup for them, as the Titans have won 7 of their last 8 meetings with the Jaguars.
