On Tuesday, April 4th, the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves battle the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. Minnesota comes into this matchup having lost three straight contests and eight of their last 12. Brooklyn, on the other hand, is currently on a three-game winning streak.

Minnesota looked horrendous in their last matchup, losing outright to the Portland Trail Blazers 107-105 after being 19.5-point favorites in that contest. That is the worst ATS loss since 1995, and now the Wolves are in deep trouble dropping to the eighth seed in the West with three games left to play.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have had a roller coaster of a second half trying to figure out their new identity after the trade deadline. Despite this, they are currently playing some of their best basketball, which includes winning four of their last five contests.

Don’t trust the TImberwolves in this one. Brooklyn is trying to lock down the sixth overall playoff spot in the Eastern Conference finals, while Minnesota is clearly pressing under pressure. The Nets covered the spread and won outright in their last matchup on the road; they should cover and pick up a win in this one.

Two LA teams square off on Wednesday, April 5th, with both teams looking to hold down playoff spots in the Western Conference. The Lakers are one of the NBA’s hottest teams down the stretch, winning ten of their last 14, while the Los Angeles Clippers are currently on a two-game losing streak.

The new-look Lakers, since the trade deadline, have been dominating, and they have had one of their finest stretches recently, winning five of their last six games against the spread. The Clippers, on the other hand, continue to trade wins and losses and can’t find their full rhythm offensively.

After Anthony Davis tweaked his ankle, he continued to drop 40 points against the Rockets in his next game for the Los Angeles Lakers. They also got LeBron James back, and the Lakers seem to be clicking on all cylinders, determined to make the playoffs. Back them to grab a victory and cover in this one.

Both of these teams will likely have nothing to play for as they are both rank near the bottom of the East as they square off on Friday, April 7th. Detroit comes into this contest on a nine-game losing streak, while the Indiana Pacers have covered the spread in their last two contests.

Bettors shouldn’t trust Detroit at all. They are clearly committed to a rebuild and are playing their younger players for experience as they try to snag the number one overall pick in next year’s NBA draft.

Indiana plays their best basketball at home, where they are 20-19 this season. Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons are an atrocious 7-32 on the road, and they have lost 20 of their last 21 with a 9-11-1 ATS record over that span.
