The Eagles demolished the rival New York Giants in their first playoff game. Philadelphia beat NYG in every phase of football, including holding Daniel Jones to 135 passing yards and a pick. Jones rushed for just 24 yards. 

On offense, the Eagles dominated. Philly racked up 268 rushing yards. Jalen Hurts also had a great game, throwing for 154 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Philly’s offense and defense are motoring on all cylinders. In addition, this happens at Lincoln Financial Field, where the Eagles are close to impossible to beat.

The Eagles looked great beating the New York Giants. But in hindsight, the Giants simply weren’t on the same level. 

NYG’s defense had no answer for the Eagles rushing attack. A different scenario will develop on Sunday afternoon. 

San Francisco allows 77.7 rushing yards per game. Opponents average just 222.9 passing yards each contest. 

On the flip side, the Giants, even though they lost, averaged 5.9 rushing yards per carry against the Eagles’ D. SF rushes for 138.8 yards per game. 

Based on stats, this one is a no-brainer. San Francisco should control the pace of the game with their rushing attack. If SF shuts down the Eagles’ rush, and there’s a great chance they do, pressure will fall on Hurts to produce with his arm. 

That may not work out as well as Philly hopes. San Francisco wins straight up.
