Written by on December 6, 2022

As the calendar hits December, playoff pushes are in full force in the NFL. The early odds and lines for Week 14 are currently available on Mybookie. The NFL’s early December schedule includes a number of crucial divisional matchups that should be crucial in determining the ultimate playoff picture in each conference. Who will this week’s losers be? Let’s take a look at some specific NFL betting matchups.

Who Are the Sure Losers in Week 14 of NFL Action?

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Rams (+5)

Let’s start with Thursday Night Football’s matchup between the Raiders and the Rams. The wheels have completely fallen off for the Rams, and they look like sure losers in Week 14. After losing to the Seahawks at home, the Rams have now lost six straight contests. To make matters worse, they put Matthew Stafford on IR ensuring their collapse the rest of the year.

As for the Raiders, they have put together a nice string of games. Las Vegas has pushed their winning streak to three, and Josh McDaniels has this team playing exciting football on both offense and now the defensive side. The Raiders have covered the spread in each of their last three games, and they should dominate the Rams, ensuring they are losers in Week 14.

New England Patriots vs. Arizona Cardinals (+2)

The Arizona Cardinals make this week’s losers list, as they seem to be falling fast. In addition to having a terrible home record (1-6) and recent rough stretch (1-4), the Cardinals have numerous internal problems. Former teammate Patrick Peterson questioned Kyler Murray’s work ethic and leadership skills, and there are speculations circulating regarding Kliff Kingsbury’s future in Arizona.

Although New England has had a rough stretch themselves losing their last two games, they have three wins on the road this year and are fighting for a playoff spot and the division title in the AFC East. Not only is the defense solid, but the offense has played much better under Mac Jones.

Arizona has allowed 18 sacks on Kyler Murray in the last five contests. The Patriots enter this contest with the third most sacks in the league (18), and they should easily be able to frustrate Murray and hand the Cardinals their ninth loss of the year.

Carolina Panthers (+6.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks

All signs point to the Panthers losing this matchup in Week 14. The Seattle Seahawks are playing really good football. Not only do they have a 7-5 record, but they are also surprisingly competing for an NFC West title. The offense has really taken off with Geno Smith under center, as he has thrown multiple touchdowns in six straight games. Additionally, Kenneth Walker III will most likely win the offensive rookie of the year, and he should have a big day as Carolina has conceded over 135 yards on the ground per game.

Carolina, on the other hand, comes into this matchup winless on the road this season. They will have to travel across the country with quarterback questions and a defense that is suffering plenty of injuries in both the secondary and the defensive line. Additionally, the Panthers have not covered the spread once on the road this year. Expect the Panthers to be losers in Week 14.
