Top MLB Parlays of the Week (Sept. 12-18)

Written by on September 12, 2016

It’s time for another full week of baseball action, which means it’s time to start taking a look at the betting odds to see if we can pick out some winners. I will be doing another article with individual picks for the week, but for this one, let’s take a look at some potential parlay plays. As I always do, I’ll be playing two games from each day, but you can choose to add to those picks or try and beat me with you own.

Analyzing The Top MLB Parlays of the Week (Sept. 12-18)

MLB Parlay Pick Tuesday, Sept 13

The Toronto Blue Jays have slipped into second place in the AL East, and need to start picking up wins again to keep their playoff hopes alive. They will have a real chance to do that with a series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Tuesday sees them go up against Derek Smyly who has had 2 less than impressive starts in a row. Look for the Jays to jump on him early. The Detroit Tigers are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, and you have to like their chances of winning their series against the Twin to start the week. Matt Boyd has gone 5-1 in his last 10 starts, and I like him to pick up another win on Tuesday.

MLB Parlay Pick Wednesday, Sept 14

I like the Indians to take the series against the White Sox, but I think Chicago might just pull off the win on Wednesday. They will have Carlos Rodon on the mound, and he has won 5 of his last 6 starts. Compare that to Josh Tomlin of the Indians, who hasn’t won since July, and who is 0-5 in his last 7. The Texas Rangers are just 5-5 in their last 10 games, but it looks as though they are still going to win the West quite comfortably. Wednesday sees them send Yu Darvish to the mound, and the Rangers have won 6 of the last 7 games that he has started.

MLB Parlay Pick Friday, Sept 16

Let’s start off Friday with what looks to be a bit of a no-brainer. The Washington Nationals will head into Atlanta to face a Braves team that they have owned all season long, and they will send Max Scherzer to the mound. Scherzer has been brilliant all year, and should get the win here in rather comfortable fashion. I’d take the Nats to comfortably cover. I’m going with a bit of a gut pick here by taking the Diamondbacks to beat the Dodgers on Friday. Zack Greinke will be going up against his old team, and would love nothing more than to put a dent in their division title hopes.

MLB Parlay Pick Saturday, Sept 17

Jake Arrieta still has a legitimate shot at picking up 20 wins on the season, and I don’t really see him passing up the opportunity to notch another one against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. I’m taking a rather comfortable win for the Cubs in this one. The Mets have been great at home over the past few weeks, and are making a concerted push for a playoff spot. They will have Seth Lugo on the mound on Saturday, and he has won each of his last 4 starts. I like him to make it 5 in a row in this one.
