Are the Nationals a safe bet in the MLB odds to win the NL Pennant?

Top MLB Parlays Of The Weekend

Written by on August 26, 2016

We are about to roll into the month of September, which is a sure sign that the MLB regular season is starting to wind down. The final push for playoff spots has begun, and the teams who are on the outside looking in right now know that there is really no more margin for error. This is the time of year when teams either rise up and roll to the playoffs or fall flat on their face, and that can make handicapping a little trickier. That said, we are going to have our weekly look at the weekend action to see if we can’t pick out a couple of winning parlays. As always, I will pick two games from each of the three days, and hopefully we will all put a little extra cash in our pockets. Be sure to check in throughout the weekend to keep up with the live odds for all these games.

Top MLB Parlays Of The Weekend

MLB Parlay Picks for Friday, Aug 26

The Washington Nationals are edging ever closer to an NL East division title, and they can put another nail in that coffin this weekend when they host a Colorado Rockies team coming in on a 3-game losing streak. The Rockies will have Jeff Hoffman making only his second start, and the young man was shelled in his first game versus the Cubs. Look for more of the same here. There is no way that the Cardinals are going to catch the Cubs in the Central Division, but they do still have a legitimate shot at a Wild Card spot. They are in right now, and will be looking to cement that spot when they take on a struggling Oakland A’s team that is just 3-7 in their last 10 games.

MLB Parlay Picks for Saturday, Aug 27th

After going through a bit of a rough patch, Dallas Keuchel has now won 2 of his last 3 starts for the Houston Astros. He has a chance to improve upon that on Saturday when they welcome in the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa has been playing better of late, but their 22-35 road record suggests they could be in trouble here. The New York Mets are seeing their season stat to slip away, as they are now 3.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot. They need wins badly, and a weekend series versus the Phillies might just be the perfect tonic. You have to like their chances on Saturday with the always dependable Noah Syndergaard on the mound.

MLB Parlay Picks for Sunday, Aug 28th

The Detroit Tigers are two games back of a Wild Card spot, and are playing some solid baseball at the moment. They are up against the Chicago White Sox this weekend, and have a shot to really open up some space at the top of the race. Sunday should see a win for the Tigers. The San Francisco Giants have lost their lead atop the West, and are not playing great ball at the moment, but they should be able to get back on track this weekend against the truly awful Atlanta Braves. Sunday is their best bet, as they have Madison Bumgarner on the mound.
