NFL Week 14 Against the Spread Lines and Betting Picks

NFL Week 14 Against the Spread Lines and Betting Picks

This past weekend, we saw the first team officially eliminated from playoff contention, with the Chicago Bears being that unfortunate team. By the time this weekend comes to a close, I think they will have some company. We are at the stage of the season where we are going to start seeing more teams clinch or be eliminated, so the pressure really is starting to pile up on the teams that are sitting just at or right below the playoff line. Week 14 of the season has some big games on the schedule, and some that could essentially be considered do or die. We have gone through the entire schedule and come up with 3 games that we like against the spread, so let’s look at the NFL odds for the each games.

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-6)

One of the better divisional battles currently taking place is in the AFC North, where it looks as though the Bengals and Ravens are going to go all the way down to the wire. The Bengals have suddenly gotten hot, winning 4 in a row ahead of this weekend. The Browns are coming off a scrappy win over the Houston Texans, with DeShaun Watson under center for the first time for the Browns. It was a rather wobbly return for the QB, and he will need to be a whole lot better this weekend. Good or not, the Bengals are in the groove and have covered in 9 of their last 10. More of the same here.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3 ½)

It may be a new coaching regime in Jacksonville, but that staff is going to need time to get this ship turned around. The Jaguars come into this weekend sitting at 4-8 on the season and very much on the brink of playoff elimination. It really is only a matter of time. Titans is 7-5, and while they have a comfortable lead atop the AFC South, they are also on a 2-game losing skid that they will definitely want to snap out of against a weak Jacksonville team. The Jaguars have gone just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games, while the Titans have bee a very good bet, covering in 8 of their last 10. In their last 10 meetings with Tennessee, the Jags have covered just twice.

Kansas City Chiefs (-9) at Denver Broncos

A mere few days after being named the new Super Bowl favorites by the bookies, the Chiefs went out and lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, a group that are very much becoming a bit of a bogey team for KC. Still, they are at 9-3 on the season and looking like the team to beat in the AFC, regardless of that last game. This weekend, they will hit the road to face a Denver Broncos team that is having a nightmare season on the offensive side of the football. Looking at the last 10 meetings between these teams, you see some lopsided numbers. The Chiefs won each of those last 10 games and covered in 7 of them, so they look to be a good bet here.
