NFL 2021 Week 12 SU Betting Analysis & Picks

NFL 2021 Week 12 SU Betting Analysis & Picks

It’s a bit of a treat for NFL fans in Week 12, as it falls on Thanksgiving Day, which means a tripleheader of football action on Thursday. While American citizens relax with a turkey dinner and a couple of adult beverages, teams will be preparing for the stretch run of the season. It’s late enough in the year for the playoff conversation to be had, and for the teams sitting below the playoff line, time is running out to get the wins that would take them into the postseason. We are maintaining, albeit by a rather slim margin, a winning record with our SU picks this season, going 18-15 through the first 11 weeks. We are looking to improve on that in the final couple of months of the year, so let’s see if we can have a winning weekend in Week 12. Let’s jump right into action so you can keep betting against the NFL odds.

Week 12 SU Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting

Atlanta Falcons over Jacksonville Jaguars

At this point of the season. You have to say that both of these teams are playing for nothing more than pride. The Atlanta Falcons had managed to claw themselves back to .500 a couple of weeks ago, but back-to-back losses have dropped them to 4-6. Perhaps the most alarming thing about those last 2 defeats is that they managed a total of just 3 points in those games. There has not been much offense to be found in Jacksonville either, which is probably going to have a lot of people looking at the UNDER in this game. We, though, are sticking with the SU pick here and taking Atlanta on the road. They have won 4 of their last 5 versus the Jaguars and have covered the spread in all those games. They are a modest 1-point favorite here, so it might not be a bad idea to take them to win and cover.

Carolina Panthers over Miami Dolphins

The Carolina Panthers are one of the harder teams to figure out this season, as you never really know what you are going to get from them. They started the season well and looked as though they had made a shrewd move by bringing in Sam Darnold at QB, but that quickly went south. They now have Cam Newton back in the fold, and while he gave them a winning boost in his return, he lost as the starter last week versus Washington. The Dolphins have, from out of nowhere, sprung back to life by reeling off 3 straight wins to get to 4-7 on the season. This is a pick that makes me nervous, but the one thing that stands out to me is that Carolina is 8-1 SU in their last 9 games versus teams from the AFC.

Minnesota Vikings over San Francisco 49ers

Let’s close out our SU picks for the week by going with a team that is in as a road underdog this week. The Vikings head out west as a 3-point dog, and while I was tempted to use this one as an ATS pick, I thought I would go all in and take the Vikings to win outright. They have been very good over the past couple of weeks, picking up big wins against the Chargers and Packers to get back to .500 on the season. The 49ers have hot a good run of form, too, winning 3 of their last 4 games, although two of those came against teams with sub .500 records. The Vikings are not a great road team, but they have won 6 of their last 9 versus San Francisco.
