NFL 2021 Week 16 SU Betting Analysis & Picks

It took a little longer than usual, but Week 15 of the NFL is finally in the books after a couple of games played on Tuesday night. Those games ended up being rather large in terms of the playoff picture, with both the LA Rams and Philadelphia Eagles getting wins that boosted their postseason hopes. The Rams are now tied for the lead in the NFC West, while the Eagles are sitting just below the playoff line but very much in the hunt. There are now just 3 weeks left on the season, which means that time is running out for those teams sitting below the playoff line. We certainly haven’t seen the last of the drama and surprises that this season has delivered, so let’s look ahead to this weekend with our SU NFL Betting picks for the week.

Tennessee Titans over San Francisco 49ers

We really couldn’t have asked for a much better game for primetime on Thursday night, as both of these teams are looking to win their respective divisions and get the best seed possible heading into the playoffs. The Titans looked comfortable at the top of the NFC South just a few short weeks ago, but with 3 losses in their last 4 games, their lead has shrunk considerably. On the flipside, the 49ers have come to life in the second half of the season and have reeled off 5 wins in their last 6 games. Despite that great run, the 49ers are still not safe in terms of a playoff position, so this is one they need. They have been good against the Titans, winning in 4 of their last 5 visits to Tennessee, but I have a feeling that the Titans will get back on track in their won building this weekend.

Indianapolis Colts over Arizona Cardinals

There is something to be said for getting hot at the right time of the season, as history has shown that teams who get on a roll towards the end of the year often carry that success over into the playoffs. If that is indeed the case, then you might want to keep and eye on the Indianapolis Colts. They have won 5 of their last 6 games and have the Titans looking over their shoulder in the AFC South. Arizona is heading in the opposite direction after taking back-to-back losses, the most recent of which came at the hands of the Detroit Lions. There is a lot to like with the Colts in this one, including the fact that they have won 4 of their last 6 games against Arizona. They are also 5-1 SU in their last 6 games played in the month of December.

Cincinnati Bengals over Baltimore Ravens

One of the most exciting divisional races can be found in the AFC North, where all 4 teams still have a shot at winning the division and getting an automatic playoff berth. What makes this even more exciting is that they will have a lot of head-to-head games over the final 3 weeks. It all begins this Sunday with the Ravens going on the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens have lost 3 in a row and have essentially given away their last 2 games by going for 2-point conversions to win it instead of taking a PAT and going to overtime. The Bengals have been unpredictable all season long, but they are coming off a win. I like Cincy to win a close one here.
