After an offseason of change, including hiring Doc Rivers, and signing numerous shooters to surround Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Philadelphia 76ers have put themselves in a position to win the Eastern Conference. Tobias Harris could be a huge key to a long playoff run, as he has come up huge in the clutch numerous times throughout the regular season.

The Lakers are also one of the top defensive teams in the NBA and come playoff time, teams that guard well seem to last longer.

The Clippers can also guard. They may have the most versatile defensive team in the league. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both being very good two-way players, the Clippers are in a very good position. The addition of Rajon Rondo at the trade deadline was big for the Clippers. Rondo has been excellent in the playoffs throughout his career, and the Clippers have lacked a true point guard the past few seasons.

The Utah Jazz currently has the best record in the league, but many people in the know aren’t sold on them. Analysts feel that teams will employ a strategy that will make Rudy Gobert come out of the paint and guard the pick and roll, and that will hurt the Jazz defense. Utah also relies heavily on the perimeter shot, so if shots aren’t falling for them, they could be in big trouble.
