The teams split, each winning a low-scoring game at home. The Bills captured the AFC East for a third consecutive year, but the high point of the Jets’ campaign came in Week 9 when they topped the Bills, 20-17, at MetLife Stadium. That was with Zach Wilson at QB.

I know No. 1, he’s a great player, he gets a lot of credit. I think No. 4 is also pretty dang good. So yeah, they game planned pretty well for us the last couple times we’ve played them, and we’ll have our hands full come Monday night.”

Allen had 5,045 total yards & 42 total touchdowns (pass + rush) last season; only Patrick Mahomes had more total yards & touchdowns last season (won NFL MVP). You have Jets All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner going up against one of the best receivers in the game in Stefon Diggs. Diggs took round one with 93 yards on five catches but Gardner returned the favor in the second meeting, allowing only 37 yards on three catches. Since joining the Bills in 2020, Diggs has 263 more targets, 172 more receptions & 2,205 more receiving yards than the next-closest Bills player.

Bills safety Damar Hamlin is not expected to be active for tonight’s game. Hamlin is continuing his journey back from suffering cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 during a regular-season game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He played in all three of Buffalo’s preseason games and made the Bills’ 53-man roster as a backup safety and special teams player. Hamlin, 25, has been a full participant with the team since early June during OTAs. He started 13 games last season in place of safety Micah Hyde, who missed the rest of the season after a neck injury in Week 2.

The New York Jets backfield will be a full go against the Bills as New York head coach Robert Saleh said both Dalvin Cook and Breece Hall will be available against Buffalo. But the coach did admit there will be a bit of thinking going into the decision with both coming off injury. Monday will be the first time Hall will be tackled in game action since he tore his ACL in Week 7 at Denver last season. The second-round pick in 2022 out of Iowa State was returned to practice Aug. 15 and did not play in the preseason.

“I don’t know if I want to call it a snap count, but we are gonna be smart with them,” Saleh said. “We’ll continue to evaluate and build up what we think Monday needs to be, but it’s not that we’re putting a snap count on it.”
