The Major League Baseball season is nearly a month old at this point. Teams are starting to settle in, and we are figuring out how good or bad some of the teams around the league are.

Toronto Blue Jays +2200

It was not the best of starts for Toronto, but things have gotten better here as of late. The Blue Jays are 22/1 odds, and as of late April are third in the American League East. The Blue Jays with their better play as of late have moved within two games of the front-running New York Yankees.

Toronto has the bats. Dalton Varsho has come through in a big way for the Blue Jays with his bat. Justin Turner has been solid in his first season with the club. Toronto would love to see Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Bo Bichette going in a big way with the bats. The Blue Jays will still remain third-best odds out of the American League East, but this is a team we have said has potential to win it all for a couple of seasons now.

The Blue Jays are at Kansas City for a four game series, before they come home to host the Los Angeles Dodgers and Royals again to finish April.

Cleveland Guardians +3000

Cleveland is off to a great start. The Guardians have won 15 out of their first 21 games. Cleveland has also won 10 out of their first 13 at home. This Cleveland team is scoring a ton of runs, as they are +48 so far through 21 games.

The pitching has also been getting the job done. This is going to be a fun team to watch, and there will not be any surprise if they run away and hide from the competition in the American League Central. Cleveland is scoring 5.6 runs per game, and have a team batting average of .259 on the season.

The Guardians slugger Josh Naylor has gotten off to a quick start with six home runs to lead the team. Cleveland is at home for a three game series against Boston, before heading to Atlanta and Houston to finish April.

The Mariners have won four straight games after a slow start. This is another team that has had the potential the last couple seasons. The Mariners are battling with the Rangers in the American League West.

Why not the Mets, right? Well, the Braves and Phillies are really good baseball teams and sit at the top of the division. But, at 12-8 heading into the final week of April, the Mets are right there. New York has won six in a row, and been good on the road.

New York is 6-2 away from Citi Field. Pete Alonso continues to provide the power for New York, with six homeruns hit. Starling Marte is at four home runs as well. The Mets are 8th in runs scored, and have a team batting average of .251. If they can find some consistent pitching, they feel they can be a team to reckon with in the postseason. The Mets end April with the Giants, Cardinals and Cubs on their schedule.
