NFL Wild Card Possible Matchups Betting Analysis

NFL Wild Card Possible Matchups Betting Analysis

Early Betting Analysis For Possible Wild Card Matchups: We will need to wait until all the action in Week 18 is complete before we know for sure what the playoff matchups will be. MyBookie Sportsbook NFL Odds, American Football NFL Lines

Trying to figure it all out right now is a nightmare, as there are so many possible scenarios and permutations that it would take a genius to figure out how it all might play out. What we can do, though, is look at the current standings and make some NFL predictions on the matchups that we would get in the Wild Card Round if the standings stayed the same as they are now. That is unlikely to happen, but let’s go ahead and have some fun breaking it all down, keeping in mind that the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will be sitting the Wild Card out after winning the bye.

AFC

Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins

One thing we do know is that the Dolphins will be at home in the Wild Card Round, with the Colts the team they would face given the current standings. Miami is 7-1 in home games this season, so they seem unlikely to fall to a lesser seed in the opening round. The Colts do have a winning road record, but this would still be a win for the Dolphins, in my opinion.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

This is a game that we thought we might see later in the playoffs, but right now, it would happen in the Wild Card. The Bills are finishing strong and have already beaten the Chiefs this season, albeit in controversial fashion. The Chiefs have looked very shaky at times this year, and I think the Bills are getting hot at the right time. This would be a great matchup.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars

Bringing in Joe Flacco during a QB injury crisis looked like a strange move for the Browns, but it has paid off quite nicely. They are hot right now, and given how good their defense is, this is a team that could be dangerous. Jacksonville has struggled in the second half of the season and could well be looking at an early exit, assuming they even get in.

NFC

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

Oh, what a fun matchup this one would be, especially when you look at how well the Packers have been playing over the past couple of weeks. This, though, would be a tough trip to make, especially with the Cowboys sitting at a perfect 8-0 in their own building. A fun one, but a game you would expect Dallas to win.

LA Rams at Detroit Lions

The Lions started the season as the sexy dark horse pick among pundits and bettors, and they have certainly lived up to the preseason hype. The Rams, though, are finishing strong and have won 3 in a row. That is the sort of late season form that often carries over into the playoffs, which could make the Rams a live underdog.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There is still a chance that the Eagles could take the NFC East, which would change everything, but they have looked somewhat unpredictable at times this season. Starting out on the road is far from ideal, but this would be a game that you would certainly expect them to win. I’d say the exact same thing if the Saints won the South and toppled the Bucs.
