Which NFL teams have the toughest schedules this season?

Most NFL analysts believe the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and Chicago Bears have the toughest schedules. Based on a quick look, those analysts are right.

In addition to their division schedule, the Steelers must play against the Chiefs, Seahawks, Packers, Titans, Vikings, and Chargers. Those are all potential playoff squads.

The Ravens play against the Packers, the Vikings, and Kansas City. Baltimore also shows the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Indianapolis Colts on their out of division schedule.

Even though the Bears missed the playoffs last season, NFL schedulers gave Chicago no breaks. The Rams, Seahawks, and Tampa Bay are on the schedule.

If you planned on backing the Bears, Steelers, or Ravens to win the 2022 Super Bowl, reconsider. Strength of schedule is a huge determining factor to whether a team makes the playoffs.

Which NFL teams have the easiest regular season schedules?

How the heck did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers land one of the easiest schedules in the league? Blame it on the NFL’s revolving division door. This season, it’s the NFC South’s turn to play against the NFC East and AFC East.

So Tom Brady and the Bucs get to throw down against such juggernauts as the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants. Unless Brady gets hurt, chalk up Tampa and New Orleans, and maybe even Carolina or Atlanta, as playoff teams.

The Dolphins and Cowboys are a couple of other teams who should benefit from easy schedules. Miami, especially, looks like a playoff squad. Dallas must prove their defense is good enough and quarterback Dak Prescott heads into the season after suffering an injury in 2020.

Based on current Super Bowl odds, which three teams offer the most underlay odds?

The Colts, Ravens, and Steelers are underlays. We know why Baltimore and Pittsburgh offer underlay odds.

The Ravens’ and Steelers’ play two of the toughest schedules in the league. Cleveland should win the AFC North, which means Baltimore and Pittsburgh could miss the playoffs.

The Colts are at +2000. Carson Wentz isn’t an upgrade over last season’s starter, Philip Rivers. Indianapolis has a good defense and great offensive line, but quarterback is the most important position on the field.

Which three teams offer the most overlay odds to win the Lombardi Trophy?

Because of strength of schedule, and because many are undervaluing Sean Payton’s Jameis Winston / Taysom Hill quarterback strategy, the New Orleans Saints are the top overlay on the board at +2800. The Saints will win a lot of football games this season.

Tampa Bay may not be an overlay, but they do offer fair odds. The Buccaneers will send one of the best defenses in the league to the field. Also, Tom Brady shouldn’t have taken too much of a backward step after last season.

If Rodgers decides to play, Green Bay is an overlay at +2000. The Dolphins are the final overlay team. Miami has one of the easiest schedules in the league, Tua Tagovailoa got a legit WR1 in Jaylen Waddle, and the defense should be great.
