Week 15 Recap of the 2020 NFL Regular Season

Written by on December 23, 2020

In a week where teams were jockeying for playoff position, we saw a huge upset, some great individual performances, and a lot of close games. Let’s recap all of the action from Week 15 so you can keep placing your bets against their NFL odds.

2020 NFL Regular Season Weekly Rundown

Chargers – 30 Vs Raiders – 27

The Chargers actually did things right at the end of a close game. David Carr left this game with an injury, and Marcus Mariota came in relief and played well. This loss hurt the Raiders slim chances of making the playoffs.

Bills – 48 Vs Broncos – 19

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs lit up the Broncos defense. The Bills clinched the AFC East title with this victory.

Packers – 24 Vs Panthers – 16

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense struggled, but they played well enough to win. Teddy Bridgewater’s fumble at the goal line cost the Panthers a shot at a huge upset victory.

Buccaneers – 31 Vs Falcons – 27

Tom Brady and the Bucs overcame a 17-0 deficit to get the victory over the Falcons. A loss would have been detrimental to Tampa Bay’s playoff push. Brady seems to have a knack for overcoming deficits against the Falcons.

Titans – 46 Vs Lions – 25

Derrick Henry once again showed why he is the top running back in the league. The Lions continued to struggle as Matthew Stafford played through injuries to try and spark a listless Detroit offense.

Colts – 27 Vs Texans – 20

The Colts offense continued to roll. Indianapolis is looking like a team poised to make a deep run into the playoffs. Deshaun Watson seems to be the only bright spot in what has been a dismal year for the Texans. Unfortunately for Houston, former head coach/general manager Bill O’Brien traded away a lot of their top future draft picks.

Bears – 33 Vs Vikings – 27

Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense has been revitalized. While just two weeks ago, it looked as though Matt Nagy would be fired, the Bears have suddenly come back to life. David Montgomery has looked good running the ball. Minnesota’s defense has been awful the last few weeks. The Vikings have all but eliminated themselves from playoff contention.

Dolphins – 22 Vs Patriots – 12

For the first time in 12 years, the Patriots won’t make the playoffs. This has been a season to forget for the Pats. The Dolphins have a great shot at winning a Wild Card spot in the AFC.

Cowboys – 41 Vs 49ers – 33

Even though the Cowboys won, they still somewhat lost. For the first time in many years, the Cowboys were flexed out of a prime time slot. Thanks to numerous 49ers turnovers, the Cowboys were able to score 24 points. Dallas is still alive in the race for the NFC East’s one playoff spot.

Ravens – 40 Vs Jaguars -14

The season can’t get over soon enough for the Jaguars. The Ravens thoroughly dominated the Jacksonville defense. Dez Bryant scored his first touchdown in over three years for the Ravens.

Seahawks – 20 Washington Football Team – 15

Alex Smith missed this one due to injury, so Dwayne Haskins led the WFT. This game saw lackluster performances from both offenses, but Seattle was good enough to get the win.

Jets – 23 Vs Rams – 20

Yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, the Jets actually won a game! The Jets won this game, but in the process lost the first pick in the draft. We’re not sure that Jet fans are actually happy about the win.

Cardinals – 33 Vs Eagles – 26

Arizona stayed in the playoff race with this victory. Jalen Hurts once again played well for the Eagles, solidifying his spot as the Eagles starting quarterback.

Chiefs – 32 Vs Saints – 29

Patrick Mahomes took on the league’s top defense and showed why he is the league MVP. Drew Brees came back from injury, but didn’t look like his old self. However, he brought the Saints back late in this one. We could see a rematch in the Super Bowl.

Browns – 20 Vs Giants – 6

The Browns continued to roll as the Giants offense couldn’t must anything up against the Cleveland defense.

Bengals – 27 Vs Steelers – 17

The Bengals stymied the Steelers offense in their upset victory. Pittsburgh has now lost three straight since starting the season 3-0.
