NFL Rivalry Games You Must Bet in the 2022 Season

2022-23 NFL Regular Season

  • When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023

Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots

Since the 2000s began, the New England Patriots have punished the Buffalo Bills. Not so this season.

Buffalo is the chalk to win the Super Bowl. Don’t expect Bill Belichick to hand the Bills the AFC East, though. The Patriots will pose a threat for sure. So consider this rivalry a must bet.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns

The Browns made the trade that they believe catapults them to the top of the AFC North. Cleveland gave up their future for former Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Even if Watson misses time due to a suspension, the Browns’ rivalry with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals should be scorching in 2022. The Bengals want to show they’re the best team in Ohio.

Cincinnati versus Cleveland will be one of this season’s must bet rivalries.

Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts

The Colts and Titans are very similar. Both teams have decent defenses. Both teams lean on terrific rushing attacks.

And both play in the AFC South. Indianapolis knows that to win the division, they must get by Tennessee. The team that plays in Nashville knows that to make the playoffs, they must beat the Colts.

Colts versus Titans is a for sure must bet rivalry.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos

Two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will represent their teams when the Broncos and Chiefs clash this season. Patrick Mahomes leads the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Broncos traded for former Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson. Both signal-callers have Super Bowl rings. So the battle between Patrick and Russell should be epic.

Circle the two games. Then make sure to handicap each because both will be must bet contests.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles

Washington versus Dallas is the traditional rivalry. Cowboys versus Eagles is a rivalry for 2022. Philly is a wise guy choice to win the Super Bowl.

Dallas is one of the favorites. It will be interesting to see if Jalen Hurts takes the next step. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the best in the NFL. Both teams boast terrific defenses. Eagles versus Cowboys is must bet stuff.

Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings

The most historic rivalry in the NFL is Green Bay versus Chicago. But the Packers have dominated the Bears since the 1990s.

In 2022, the one team in the NFC North that can end Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay’s dominance are the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have a decent defense and a good offense.

This rivalry could produce an opportunity, or maybe two, on the moneyline. Minnesota should go off the underdog in both games. If the Vikings win one, it should lead to big profit.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints

Tampa is third choice after the Bills and Chiefs to win Super Bowl 57. But although the Bucs have had more recent success, the Saints dominate in the regular season.

There’s no way Tampa doesn’t go off the chalk in at least one of the two rivalry games. If you believe New Orleans continues to give Brady and the Buccaneers fits during the regular season, then there will be at least one moneyline opportunity to back the Saints SU at above even money odds.

Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers

Seattle won’t be a good team and Arizona has a lot of question marks. The once vaunted NFC West will come down to the Rams versus the 49ers

San Francisco, at least on paper, is as good as the defending Super Bowl Champions. This rivalry is one of the cases where we must wait for game week to determine which team to back.

Know, though, that homefield doesn’t mean a lot in this rivalry. The Niners can beat the Rams at SoFi and the Rams can beat the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. So all things being equal, there might be a couple of moneyline opportunities on the dog in each rivalry contest.
