2021 NFL Regular Season – Week 18 Odds Analysis & Picks
NFL Week 18
- When: Saturday, Jan. 8 – Sunday, Jan. 9
Kansas City Chiefs -10 vs Denver Broncos
- When: Saturday, Jan. 8
The Broncos are out of the playoffs. So Denver, who didn’t play great last week when they still had a shot to make the postseason, faces a hungry Chiefs squad looking to regain the top seed in the conference. KC rolls to an easy win and cover.
NFL Week 18 Pick: Kansas City Chiefs
Dallas Cowboys -7 vs Philadelphia Eagles
- When: Saturday, Jan. 8
Arizona embarrassed the Cowboys in Week 17. Jalen Hurts almost got injured because of a falling rail in the Eagles’ victory over the WFT. Hurts won’t even step onto the field in this because Philly can’t do more than secure the sixth or seventh seed. Dallas, though, can grab the 2-seed with a victory and some help. Motivation and Jalen’s absence lead the Cowboys to a 10 points or more win.

Indianapolis Colts -15 ½ vs Jacksonville Jaguars
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
15 ½ is a lot of points, but, wow, talk about a team that doesn’t care! The Jags lied down and asked the Patriots to repeatedly kick them in the 50-10 loss in their last. Jacksonville players are showing up for their paychecks. They have no desire to get into it with a tough Colts squad. Don’t be surprised if Jonathan Taylor eclipses 250 rushing yards in this.
NFL Week 18 Pick: Indianapolis Colts
Cincinnati Bengals Off vs Cleveland Browns
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Once oddsmakers adjust the line, the Bengals should offer at least 6 ½ points. Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow is playing like the best signal-caller in the NFL. Burrow has been incredible in the past couple of games.
Baker is out. The rest of the Browns showed no life against the Steelers in the Monday Night loss. So Cincinnati covers.
NFL Week 18 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings -2 ½
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Green Bay eliminated the Vikings from playoff contention in a laughable 37-10 victory. Minnesota has no reason to play all that hard on Sunday. Neither do the Bears, but Chicago had fun routing the Giants in their last. So they should show up with more enthusiasm. Bears win this on the moneyline.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens -5 ½
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Although the Ravens average 139.4 rushing yards each game and the Steelers allow 139.6 per, this is a 3-point game at the most. Baltimore has lost 5 straight. So it’s difficult seeing the Ravens even winning, much less covering a 5 ½ spread. The safe play is Steelers ATS. If you want to go for the money back Pittsburgh to win SU.

Tennessee Titans -10 ½ vs Houston Texans
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Derrick Henry started practicing on Wednesday, which is great news for the Titans. But Henry won’t get a ton of carries on Sunday. Does that mean Tennessee has trouble covering the spread? Nope. D’Onta Foreman rushed for 132 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. The Titans win this by 14 or more.

Washington Football Team -6 ½ vs New York Giants
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
The Commanders isn’t a great football team, but they should have no trouble dominating a Giants team heading into their final game after an embarrassing loss to the juggernaut that is the Chicago Bears. Washington has more talent on both sides of the football, especially at quarterback. WFT rolls.

Green Bay Packers -2 vs Detroit Lions
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
The Packers may not sit Aaron Rodgers for the entire game. Rodgers may want to get some work in, at least a quarter. Will that be enough for GB to cover the spread? Probably not because Jared Goff is likely to play and Detroit is 10-6 ATS this season. Lions moneyline is the best play.

New England Patriots -7 vs Miami Dolphins
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Patriots -7 is the top play of the week. The Titans eliminated Miami last week. So there’s no reason for the Dolphins to play Tua Tagovailoa behind a suspect offensive line versus one of the best front sevens in the NFL. Jaylen Waddle might also sit. Patriots rolled the Jags in their last. They should roll the Fins to the tune of a 14 to 20 point victory.

New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills -16 ½
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
The Bills have given up at least 14 points in each of their last 5 games. So even though the Bills should be good for over 30, the Jets could score 14 to 17, which would make NYJ winners against the spread.

Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals -6 ½
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
Seattle has nothing to play for while Arizona has a lot to play for. Still, it’s tough to lay 6 ½ points on the Desert Birds even though they looked good for three quarters beating Dallas last week. The Cowboys outscored AZ 15-3 in the fourth quarter, which means the Cardinals were trying to lose the game. Taking the points on Seattle makes sense.
NFL Week 18 Pick: Seattle Seahawks
New Orleans Saints -4 ½ vs Atlanta Falcons
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
The Saints and Falcons always play close games. On Sunday, though, New Orleans must win to make the playoffs. Atlanta has nothing much to play for except to beat their closest rivals. Sometimes, that fires up a team. In this case, the ATL should be in trouble. Atlanta is 2-5 SU at home this season. They’re 1-6 ATS at home. Saints win and cover.
NFL Week 18 Pick: New Orleans Saints
San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams -4
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
If Jimmy G. plays, he’s going to play hurt. If he doesn’t, rookie Trey Lance will have to beat the Rams surging defense. Almost as important? The Niners will be without free safety Jimmy Ward and left corner K’Waun Williams. Rams should win this by at least 6.

Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
The Bucs are down a couple of skill players, but only the Jaguars are worse than the Panthers. Carolina’s implosion started back in Week 4 when the Cowboys beat the Panthers 36-28. Beginning with that loss, Carolina has gone 2-11 on the moneyline. The Panthers are also 2-11 ATS in their last 13. Tampa covers the 8.
NFL Week 18 Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Los Angeles Chargers -2 ½ vs Las Vegas Raiders
- When: Sunday, Jan. 9
In Week 17, the Raiders scored their third straight victory over a decent team when beating the Colts 23-20. Las Vegas has a hot hand heading into their final game. But although Vegas has a shot, we must side with the Chargers in this game.
The Chargers dominated the Raiders 28-14 in the first head-to-head. Also, it’s difficult seeing Las Vegas winning 4 straight. Justin Herbert and his mates secure a playoff spot with a win and cover.
